I spray mine lightly with Maxima SC-1 spray shine. It's made for motorcycles/ATV's, but works great on RC's too. I wipe off any excess, and after running it, you just blow out really good with air and lightly spray again. Makes my buggy look BRAND NEW! If you don't spray too much, it will actually dry. It also leaves a protective film on everything that repels water.

First: Nice buggy Ross! way to go.
I have two motors, I'd like to ask what you dudes think
I mostly run indoor clay, but want the option of a big air outdoor.
Tekin 1700 or Castle 2200?
why?
what gearing?
thanks

I went for some practice laps @ Norcal's 1/8 track today.
My second time being there and I only broke a steering rod end which I was able to replace on site.
The first time I broke a steering rod end, bent dog bone, broke chassis brace and broke wing standoffs.
I used Proline Calibers this time instead of the stock holeshots and I think I like the Calibers better.
I was having problems with the RX8 switch turning off after landing a jump. Happened about 3x on me today. Anyone have this problem? I'm wondering if I should just cut out the switch and do with out it. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I need driving skills for sure though...

Which way is your switch facing? If you have the switch oriented such that on is towards the front, it usually solves this problem.

Is this only happening after landing a jump? or even if your running on a steady pace? Most cases Ive seen and experienced is either your on/off switch or a sensor wire going bad or not properly connected. In my case my situation was the same as yours on a couple of occasions.

I got my Rx8 back today. Came post office. I grabbed it and headed to the track and I left my battery tray at home. So I'm sitting here again, not running. I'll be here tomorrow for practice.
