It also leaves a protective film on everything that repels water.

Do your motor wires rub on the body where they come out of the ESC????

First: Nice buggy Ross! way to go.

I have two motors, I'd like to ask what you dudes think

I mostly run indoor clay, but want the option of a big air outdoor.

Tekin 1700 or Castle 2200?
why?
what gearing?

thanks

I went for some practice laps @ Norcal's 1/8 track today. My second time being there and I only broke a steering rod end which I was able to replace on site. The first time I broke a steering rod end, bent dog bone, broke chassis brace and broke wing standoffs. I used Proline Calibers this time instead of the stock holeshots and I think I like the Calibers better.

I was having problems with the RX8 switch turning off after landing a jump. Happened about 3x on me today. Anyone have this problem? I'm wondering if I should just cut out the switch and do with out it. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I need driving skills for sure though...

I'm not sure....I just installed the 10 hole pistons and 35w oil last night.....it still bottoms pretty bad in the rear. I guess thats normal when car is 10-15' in the air and lands in the flat. :-)

Which way is your switch facing? If you have the switch oriented such that on is towards the front, it usually solves this problem.

Is this only happening after landing a jump? or even if your running on a steady pace? Most cases Ive seen and experienced is either your on/off switch or a sensor wire going bad or not properly connected. In my case my situation was the same as yours on a couple of occasions.

It's not anywhere near as nice as NorCal. But it's pretty busy here. Lots of good guys. I havent been able to run much this year. I keep breaking everything on practice days. Race days come either I'm broken or working the weekend.

I got my Rx8 back today. Came post office. I grabbed it and headed to the track and I left my battery tray at home. So I'm sitting here again, not running. I'll be here tomorrow for practice.
