No word from Savox on my busted servo. Hmm..
Emailed them Wednesday night. Thursday passed. Friday passed. I guess we'll keep waiting.
Does anyone know if there are any Savox workers/affiliates on the boards that can chime in?

Hey guys,
I have a Team Orion Vortex VDS-1009 low-profile servo with a busted gear. Will the gear set from a 1251MG servo work on it??
Team Orion's servo gear set is around $50 which would mean it would be cheaper to just buy a complete Savox servo. But the gear set of the 1251MG is around $12 which sounds like an affordable fix...
Can anyone confirm if they are compatible??

This weekend I stripped the main gear on my new 1256TG out twice on my truggy steering. Im just not a fan of titanium gears. They are lighter than metal gears but weaker. I have to find out if any of the metal gear kits will work with these servos.

I'd like to know this also. Like would the 057mg fit the 1257tg?

my understanding is they are the same, the difference being orion uses thicker gauge wire.

Well today my 1267SG quit on me. I've only had it since January and I was hoping it would last longer than a few months. I got it from savoxusa.com. Hopefully like quixoticboi I can get this thing repaired or exchanged under warranty.

It is weird. Weirder still is that when I plug the servo into the receiver, the receiver stops working too (actually I tried two different Spektrum receivers and the same thing happens). The LED on the receiver turns off and it stops putting out inputs to other servos. I hooked the battery up to a data logger to see if the Savox servo is shorted out and allowing tons of current to flow through it and that's not the problem. So I have no idea why it is causing the receiver to shut down.

i have had some guys at my local track have the same issues with spectrum recievers.. seems like the savox draw more power.. a power cap seems to help out but not 100% of the time...

I have this issue with ace servos!
my SR3000 receiver works fine for a min and then the throttle goes crazy and the binding light starts flashing rapidly, this is with a fully charged battery, I thought it was a defective receiver.
What is weird it I have a second SR3000 receiver and it works fine, so I wonder if it is a defective spektrum receiver or due to high drain servos.
is there a thread with more insight into this issue?
