I haven't really paid attention. I'm mostly just learning how to drive it for the most part. I would think one would need to be a very consistent driver before making any observations such as that.

All I'm saying is that, yes, theoretically it makes a difference. Now whether or not you or I can feel it is debatable. I'd almost be interested to see if any of us could feel a 1 to 2 degree camber difference side-to-side. Perhaps the better drivers could, but I don't know if I could. However, you see people (myself included!) spend time ensuring that camber is the same left to right...

What are the common weak points on these buggies? For example, if I was traveling to a race what kind of spares should I have on hand?

FWIW I agree with the 50/50 left right...

I have noticed the difference in 1/10 2wd...

Imagine if the difference was huge, like if you strapped a brick to one side... do you think that would make a difference? Yes it would. Half a brick? yes, but less. Quarter brick? Yes, but less. So on and so on...

What to you think about that 2250 motor? i put one in my SC8e and i cant believe how ridiculously fast it is! i debated long and hard with myself between the 2000kv and the 2250kv and went with the 2250 since the truck would serve as a basher and i figured the more speed the better. Well i know now the 2000kv would have been more than sufficient, the 2250 is a beast!! Keeps a huge smile on my face though!
I honestly love the 2250, I knew I wouldn't be happy with anything less. It's not hard to keep it under control, you just have to have good finger controll.

BTW peeps, I ordered the DE front skid plate and mud guards. Due to all the talk about the rear skids I didn't buy those.

Well, at least I feel like I accomplished something. The kiddo is sick (high fever, throat hurts, etc) so he stayed home from school. I stayed home from work to watch him. Got back from the doctor, and figured I need to change the oil and rotate tires on the daily driver. So I just finished that up. Here's to being (somewhat) productive!

BTW, you guys already seeing gas prices starting to climb, quickly?

I need to get some work related stuff done, but I might turn some wrenches on the RC8Be as well. I really need to paint this spare body I have, and I should probably find the source of that ticking sound, although I'm wondering if what I heard were rocks that also scored the plastic on the inside of the wheel.

I've turned all the wheels, and I don't feel any inconsistencies in any of the differentials. The CVDs seem fine, and the suspension isn't binding. I'm thinking I may need to remove the motor and see how freely the drive train spins. I'm hoping it's not a trashed hub bearing.

How often do you guys rebuild your CVDs?

Default Getting Excited!

My local track is redueing the entire track. The track will be 200'*70' with a jump he said will put buggies about 12' in air and its about a 20'-50' jump. Sound good? He said they are having the RC Pro Series there. What is this?

It's in Houston, Tx. My local Track is putting on the event so they are revamping the entire track just for the races. mikes-hobbyshop.com

oh yes...I just had to pull out of the state series race March 4.

Mike's is holding the RCPro Nationals but I thought the addition already took place? There will always be a rebuild before a big race

A question for you RC8Be gurus. After my last practice session I noticed the buggy front end would nose up on jumps. Is this a ride height issue?

Are You located around Houston? Do you ever go there? I have only been twice and that was when I was running the slash 4x4. I am very eager to try the RC8Be out there. I got very irritated the only two times I was there because everyone was running nitro and they kept running me over or hitting me and pushing me off the track.

I am in Austin. But you can just blow by the nitros
What you need to do is hold your ground and be aggressive like they are.

What do you mean? The RC8be on Tekin 2250 will blow right by them?

heck yeah! Much better drivers have often commented they wished that could catch me but have to wait until I wreck
The electrics have so much instantaneous torque.
