No, I was saying it really scrapes hard on the 35 footer. In general though if I land on the down hills it rarely bottoms completely. Doesn't really matter they are pretty cheap & I recommend them. I had a used chassis and the very tail end was ground up to 1/2 it's thickness lol. I replaced it and started using these and never had another problem. Not a big deal. In general I'd day if your grinding that bad your setup a bit to soft IMO. I know softer handles better but I like the big air and my esc living thru it. Also use double layer of Parma under the esc and 2 zip ties to be safe, the rx8's aren't cheap! I also use Velcro on my batts and tray then strap them in.

Default Picking this car up soon

Im picking the car up sometime in march. Just seems like the best bang for my buck and My firend has the truggy and its a tank. I like the layout and its got great support and race pedigree. Ive never driven 1/8 electric and since I refuse to run nitro again I believe this is the best way to get back into 8th scale racing without nitro headaches.

I know what electronics Im getting, 1900kv t8 and LRP esc, but what battery would go well with this setup? do I need 11v or 14v? 3s or 4s. This is going to be a racer and ofcourse prefer control over power. Any input is apreciated thanks in advance guys.

Tony your most likely going to be looking into a 4s lipo for racing. I knew a company on hobbypartz makes a 4s 5000 battery by gen ace. Use the search button on the right hand corner to find it. I alsomplan on getting one of these in march and have been following this thread since januarymand have found out TONS of information from everyone whom posted on here. All great guys and willing to help

Awesome. That's good to hear. Buggy looks dialed. Results to prove it as well. Was thinkin about dumping my 10th scale stuff to fund it but 8th scale season is still a bit far away. May just wait for the good ol' tax refund lol. But I too have done a ton of research and I keep coming back to this kit. Looks too good.

Why the LRP ESC over the Tekin RX8?

As for batteries, 4S definitely. 4S on 1900kv geared 48/19 is great.

Welcome Tony, you've made a good decision with this buggy. Like SLO said, we try to give out as much information as possible. If you haven't gotten it yet make sure you know where to buy it to get the best price. Currently Tower Hobbies has the best deal by far.

With that said, hang out and soak all you can. This thread moves extremely quickly. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. And if someone here doesn't know it, we'll find it for you. We have a huge base of drivers from beginners to seasoned posting in here. So it's a great time.

Thanks guys, getting a good vibe so far. Why LRP? They make the smoothest escs period. Had very bad luck with tekin but I've read 1900kv for 8th buggy is where its at. And I've read good things on the motors from tekin but I will never run their speedos. Just personal preference. If lrp made a lower kv motor I'd get that too but the t8 will do. Ok so 4s it is. What C rating do you guys suggest? Was looking at some protek packs at 50c.

I am thinking of getting a new rc8be and have a few questions that I couldnt find out through searching. What are the battery max dimensions? I gather 143 is the max length a battery that can be used but what about the width and height?

Also, I have heard conflicting reports on what comes prebuilt in the kit. Do the shocks and diffs come prebuilt?

Thanks...
