To me it sounds the same as mine. I can't tell the difference between yours and mine.

Question guys....
My buggy may have 2 hrs total run time on it, and it appears that on the front diff housing where the bearing from the driveshaft sits, is wore out! There's a lot of play between the housing and the bearing! Is this a problem area on these? It just seems like it's a little too early for the bearing housing to fail !
The rear also has a little play, but nothing like the front.

A picture is worth 1,000 words. I know where you are talking about. But how much play are we talking about? If it is worn out, replace it with a Boca or Avid. So post some pictures so we can get this figured out. I'll check mine now to see if I have some play in mine.

I'll get a pic in a few. I'm assuming that a Boca and avid is a bearing?

Yes, both are higher quality bearings.

I HAD THAT KIT! I loved it so much. Long gone though, don't recall what happened to it.

That is amazing that you will be getting yours running again. Post some pics of it for me, and a running vid would be great. Let me know if you ever want to sell it, total memories!

I'll pick it up on Monday. Super excited as i thought i'd given it away years ago. Still got everything thing to go with it from the sound of things, even the optional slick tyres!! Just hope the electronics are still working!

I just looked at mine. It moves a little. But it doesn't sound like what you're talking about.

Anyone have the FT rear hub carriers? Mine have small holes perpendicular to the Outer Hinge Pins. The holes are threaded as if for a grub screw. These holes are NOT on the plastic stock ones. Can't imagine wanting to attach it to the hinge pin. But what are the for, and are they supposed to be on the forward or rearward side of the car? The carriers are otherwise identical.

Carrier is upside down in the pic to better show the holes.

Those are for grub screws. To keep hinge pins from migrating.

The issues are worked out with the tekins. We have 4 of them and not a single problem. Randy or Ty will probably easily speak to this. Also, Gregg, it's quicker to just call and get the RA number or use the live chat instant support during normal business hours on their website. I hate to say it, but I am pretty confident now that any problems with tekins are user error in programming the speed control.

There is a simple fix for that. It's called throttle control and then you don't worry about the breaking part.

I understand the user error thing. I'd just like to know how I could have messed it up using the hot-wire, running stock settings. Im having trouble even getting the lights to stay on after I do a software update.

Hard to tell here, but you can see the gap around the outer race of the bearing. It has quite a bit of play. Here's the pics:

Can't avoid people crashing into you. Which is what both broken parts I witnessed yesterday.

Mine has a little bit of play. But there isn't any way of telling hoe much you have without seeing it in person. Or a video.
