Blow it up Frank, you gotta live on the edge!!

Gregg,
You're making me nervous! LOL! My Tekin is installed, and hasn't even been turned on yet. I'm almost afraid to turn it on. For your sake, and for mine I hope that was just some really bad luck.
Billy,
Wiring job looks alright. Although, you are pretty close to the spur... Why did you go straight up on the ESC and straight out on the motor with the wire connections? I went up with both. Just wanted to keep as little stress on the solder joints as much as possible. Personally, I think I might have too much wire...

Citizen - THIS IS NOT NECESSARILY CORRECT!
I made the same mistake. You could have done one of two things:
1. Put in the case backwards on the chasis so the metal gear isn't in it's grove
OR (and probably the real reason)
2. You didn't tighten down the Diff Case enough. Take it apart and give those 4 screws a really good CRANK. Then, (while your at it), but some of that grease they give you in the kit onto the metal gear.
That should not turn with any difficulty under any circumstances. It needs to be as smooth as a baby's a$$.
If I were you, I'd take it apart and get it right before proceeding.

I had picked up the 1900 used from another member here on retech and it wasn't working properly from the get go. I contacted the member and he didn't hesitate to tell me to send the motor back to him so he could send it back to Tekin for warranty and then send back to me. He sent me a pm a couple days ago saying Tekin was sending the motor back to him and when he got it he would send back to me. So now I just wait patiently for the 1900 to arrive but with a perfectly working 2050 I haven't skipped a beat. Plus I have my SC8e set to arrive tomorrow and have a bunch of new goodies here at my house waiting to install in it! That's gonna be a bitchin truck!!

Slash, I agree with Gregg. It only makes the noise sometimes. They all do it. If you go way back in this fourm you will see others talking about it and there is a full explaination about it. Something about the design causes it. I cant remember exactly.
