That's the thing. Weather has been nice here for the past 3 days. Going to get ugly again on Wednesday, but it was nice today. Not sure why it didn't get delivered.

Did you have to do any other mods to get the horn to fit?

Just snap in that other ball from the rear inside tie rod.

Went to the one on the left.

It is fun buying all the nice parts. Would take off a fair bit of weight.

Hi,
How much lighter is the carbon chassis compared to the standard ally one?

Think it's half weight, twice as thick.

Just got an RC8Be and will be converting it over to 1/10th Mod 4x4 SC.

Here are my electrics

-Tekin RX8

-Novak 4.5T 550

-7955 Servo

-Thunder Power 5200mah 2s 50c/100c Lipo

Will be running on a good size indoor high bite clay track. Tires will be Panther Switch (Clay)

*What would be a good pinon size to start with? I ran this same set up in my Jammin SCRT10 w/ a 13 tooth and sometimes the motor got a lil hot to the touch.

*And for initial set up should I try and use some set ups from the website or will it not work because I will be running 1/10th SC tires and SC8 shock towers.

Thanks!

You might want to look at changing the spur gear size on this one. Are you still running the stock 46 tooth? Of so, I would try that.

Yes it still has the stock spur gear. I seem to have bad luck with new projects so I want to try and get this right the first time

Bastardizing is always going to lead to trial and error, unless you can go off someone elses research, or trial and error.

Sounds good. Thanks! I'll let you know if mine is any different. If not, I'll be sending it back!

So when are you ordering that CF chassis?

Yeah, I don't know why they are the same ones. I think I'm sending the one I just got, back.

And I don't know about the CF chassis. I want one. But... I want to sell some of the crap I have and get something else. Onroad maybe, I saw some B44.1s this weekend, first time I had seen them at the track. They actually had enough to make a class. Those are pretty nice too. Dont know what I want.

For 1/10th 4WD, the Team Durango DEX410 looks really interesting, but expensive. After dabbling in 1/8, I don't know if I could go back to 1/10.

Looks like a Serpent S500 to me.
