I thought about it, but I'd rather get feedback on the fit and finish. There were a couple (I think) of people that bought the chassis earlier in the thread and reported minor fitment issues. Hopefully those have been resolved. I also wonder if it's milled in the same areas as the stock chassis. If it's not milled under the spur gear area, you'll be forced to use the stock diff riser.

I've been using the same SNR carbon chassis for the RC8Be for some time now. Since August or September of last year. Search back on this thread and you can find some of my reviews and pics.
I really like the lighter chassis. It drives well, makes the car more nimble, and has withstood the punishment of practice/racing twice a week on both an indoor clay track (WCRC) and an outdoor large track (Revelation).

This pic is of the bottom of the chassis.
The burning question is, is it milled out for the center diff like the stocker? some of us, namely Billy and I have removed our center diff risers.

Awesome Gregg! I knew you'd love it once you tried it. I couldn't believe the difference!
BTW, I ordered that aluminum servo horn. We really are going to end up with the same setups.
Were you able to change the settings on the RX8 using the HotWire without any issues? What settings are you using?

I was able to get the software updated correctly, and after that I didn't plug the hot-wire back in. Lol so it's running all factory settings. I can't even imagine this thing on 6S! And I don't even have the timing up on it. Max motor temp observed with body on and no cooling holes was 108. ESC was 92. Ambient temp 67.
And Billy I just got my "smaller" servo horn in. And for some reason, it's the same size as my old one. Even though it's $2 cheaper. I'm starting to think they put the wrong one in the package.

Tires, pinions, shock and diff oils and suspension setups should be dialed for each track. There is no one single pinion 10 different tracks. With that being said. Try a 19tooth mod 1 pinion.

That doesn't look like the picture on Tower's site for the "short" horn:

And Gregg, I feel your frustration. The custom face plates that were shipped on the 27th still aren't here. They were delayed due to the crazy weather last week. They were out for delivery this morning, but now the tracking number shows another exception.
I wonder what the problem is now...
This weekend, I pressed a few bushings out of my spare lower control arms to install my backup set of spherical bearings. As fate would have it, some of the bearings were the wrong size. Ugh. Contact the vendor today, he sends me drawings and asks me to confirm. Not only do the bearings I have differ from the drawings, but they aren't even the same dimensions as the stock bushings! ARG!! These bearings aren't cheap either; not cheap by any means. So now it looks like I'm going to go order another full set of lower control arms and just use the stock rubber bushings for now until I can get this bearing issue sorted. I'd replace the bearings in my current control arms, but they were custom made and the bearing adapter shells are spot and tack welded into the control arms. I'm thinking I'm going to have to grind the welds, press the bearings out and replace them. This off-the-shelf bearing kit doesn't look like it'll work as nicely as this custom setup I have. ugh...
