Thanks for the tip about the GensAce battery. To think I almost ordered a $200 pack. I got 2 of those 4s 5000mAh and one of their 2s packs for my kids slash for less than that.

Thanks for the help I appreciate it. I'm stuck between choosing the Tekin and the Mamba monster. I'm probably going to get a 1900kv motor but not sure yet. Thanks again for the help.

No problem, glad we could help. Let us know how they go. I ordered last night. I have a tracking number delivering Thursday.

You can't go wrong with either. I mainly have the MMM because when I wanna bash and run 6S on street tires. I can do that too. Just plug in a bigger battery.

It's not the mount that makes a difference. It's the fact that you can only run a certain size pinion on the outer. Then you switch to the inner for larger pinions. I bought the inner since I run 21t pinions.

And Jason, I just bought 1 for now. Had a few $$ to burn and I was bored. I'm trying all different kinds. Trying to stay away from the Reedy #720. But I'll eventually get one.

That's what I was thinking since they said that on the website Along with not having to remove it to change pinions.

I think I'll pick one or two of them up also. I think I'd go for the 5600/50C protek before the reedy though. Ive had great luck with the protek packs and less expensive than reedy.

Damn, that things a beast! Might cancel my order for a 720 and wait for one of these. Although not sure why they're saying its a 2S when it's 14.8v. Surely it's a 4S?

Running a Grid mount myself with inner and using HPI Mod 1 5mm (HB) 17T/19T/21T with T8 1900kv/RX8. Still got to fit the motor in the car (waiting for some Boca bearings after putting a screw through a std one in one of the steering blocks) so still need to check them. Got to say the Grid mount looks like a well made bit of kit and totally happy with mine. Even got the top plate which i wasn't expecting. Might send the carbon one back for a refund.

My builds ground to a halt waiting on bearings so not much i can do at the moment. Shells nearly finished painting, reasonably pleased for my 1st effort although i'll be using the thin masking tape before liquid mask next time to get the lines crisper. (I'll post pics once i've done the backing today). New diff bushes should be arriving today so i'll strip the diffs down, get 'em rebuilt and get the shocks done. What sort of rebound are you guys running. 3mm-ish? (Bronze25wt/Silver30wt/1.1 10 hole).

Ive had great luck with the HobbyKing Turnigy, though i only use the 20c and 25c packs.

When you order from the USA warehouse (links i posted) shipping isn't too bad.
