GreggW, Thanks for the SNR Link.

These are a snug fit, but they do fit in the RC8E:

If you prefer or need hardcase, this one fits with no problem:

I've had good luck with the Pro-Tek hardcase 4s. I've been using a 40c, but it looks like there is a 50c listed on amain. Double check the length as I'm pretty sure they come in a 'short' and long version.

Guys,

There seems to be a lack of specific setups available for our RC8Be. Do any of the setups that apply to the RC8B nitro car apply? Or is the weight difference between nitro and electric equipment to much to affect an electric setup?

Most of the team drivers run very close to the same setups on their electrics as they do their nitro cars. Most of the variation in setup is due to track conditions. Here is a highly favored setup:

rc8b_cavalieri_jbrl3_2009.pdf

That is a blue groove track so 30wt was ran in the rear shocks. If you are on a med to low traction track run 27.5wt oil in the rear and 30mm ride height all around.

Quick question on the FT RC8be. I know the diffs come pre-assembled in the kit, but do you still need to grease the o-rings or is that already done. I realize you will most likely still need to add the fluid and tighten them up, just wondering if they grease them for you.

thanks

No Problem, and thanks ED. I had the soft 5000 on my wish list at Hobby King already. I wasnt sure it was going to fit @143 length, good to see it does, just snug.

Anyone running 6S. Id like to get a pack just for $h8ts and giggles.

And even at 35 years old, I still have to wait to post links, I feel like such a kid. But I was looking at this for 6S at Hobby King. Turnigy 3000mAh 6S 35C Lipo Pack Size: 139 x 43 x 39 mm

I believe they come greased but i wouldnt worry about it. There is an updated o-ring for the diffs that are clear. The new o-ring kits from here on out should have them in it. I would hunt one of those and replace them asap. The black ones tend to leak sometimes.

I get my kit in the 29th. I'll let you guys know if the diffs come with the new seals or not.
