Thanks for replying BC. That helps because all the hobbytown USAs around ere carry Traxxas. And I have a mini revo I can steal it off of and replace it later. So you saved me a trip to the LHS. I'll just steal one off my MERV.

So I finally got a chance to drive my car today after having it built and sitting on my workbench for the last week. It felt incredible! My local track is hot rod hobbies in so cal for anyone who knows it and it really felt hooked up, and that was with a setup I threw on it meant for ocrc in Huntington beach. I couldn't be more stoked about it right now. I'm running the Tekin 2050 with an 18t pinion and 0 timing and power was more than I needed. Temps were about 150 on the motor after 12 min or so and 4 lights on the esc, this is with no vents cut into the body. The only negative is that I absolutely destroyed the kit hole shots! The track was bone dry and ate up my tires! In 3 years of racing I don't think I've wore out a set of tires as thoroughly as I did today after 2 packs! My first race will be at ocrc next Sunday and I can't wait, got my bar codes already glued up and ready to go!!

Tower Hobbies $399 become a super saver club member $9.99 allows you to use the $50 off coupon. And super saver club is free shipping anything over $150. $349 shipped. Go become a member. Come back and search the threads for tower hobbies codes. Make sure they are a January code. It's like 014YB for January. But look because that code is from memory.

I'll probably do that. When I sign up for super saving members it'll probably be march cause that's when I get to use my laptop. Thank you for the suggestion Gregg.

Ok now Ron just sold me. The new font on the top plate is perfect!! It looks a little different too. Good job Ron. You should offer to paint the letters which I may do when I get mine.

Are you talking about the associated factory team alum parts or the Integy parts?

Well, I broke down and bought an RX8 w/ 2050 motor. I'll let you guys know how it compares to the MMM. I'll probably have one or the other for sale soon.

I may check one out to but the first time I have to send it back to get fixed, they can keep it. Ive heard of too many ESCs failing. 5 times back to Tekin is about 3 times too many.

It does, but the buggy kit is sensorless. So the Rx8 is just something else to try.

Also Ron, I just ordered my mount. I emailed you also, can you be sure I get the top plate with the new font?

Thanks

All RC8 mounts are now shipping with the new GRID engraving.
