That is just a saddle pack for running mid-motor, you can use a regular stick pack with the rear motor. But there is a special lipo coming out for the car.

Yeah if you run rear motor you can use any normal stick pack.
For mid motor you need a short pack like losi is relaseing or a saddle pack. You can just use the short pack losi is offering and be able to use it in both configurations as well.

Will the short pack offer an advantage in the rear configuration?

The new 96mm battery is awesome! All of our team that will be competing in the Reedy Race with the 22 has gotten the batteries, and everyone has thought is made a substantial improvement to the handling of the car. Dustin Evans and Mike Truhe both tested the battery for the first time about 3 weeks ago, and neither have any intentions of running anything else. Dustin ran the 96mm pack in Columbus at the CRCRC race, and Truhe ran his in Texas as the race he just attended.

3800mAh is giving us 17-22 minutes of run time in mod, so no issues there. The battery is 100g lighter than our 5000mAh 40C pack, so it gets the car very close to minimum weight, which has improved handling effects for any car.

TLR what are the delays? I have a first day (of announcement) order. If it keeps getting delayed, I'm going to cancel and stay with my current ride. No threat, just tired of the waiting game..... Thanks a old school Losi Racer

There hasn't been a vehicle yet in rc that has been released on the original date (as far as I know) Just pray it's not like the TC3 I put off onroad for this buggy and will just wait while I run my B4. We can do it together

The date has only been pushed back 1 time. We are trying to ensure we can provide the best kit experience for all 1/10 EP Off-Road fans, and on a kit, dozens of things all have to come together. We are working hard on it, trust me.

Dustin's paint job is going to look cool on the box. It's one of the coolest paint jobs of the top tier drivers imo...
