Hi,
Just installed my HobbyWing Xerun 120 V2.1, and caliberated it as per the intsructions. My problem is When I switch the car on, it runs flat out for 2-3 seconds then drops back to neautral. Now I know I've read somewhere others have had the problem, but can't remember where I read it and what the fix was.
Cheers, Jack

it just went full throttle as soon as the on switch was flicked without and input from the transmitter. steering was normal. that was my initial problem, just had a quick play with it, now It is going spastic its out of control. cuts in and out and glitches like mad, throttle that is. steering is normal, tried a new reciever, that didnt help, plugged a servo into the throttle port of the receiver and that was normal, soon as i plug the ESC in it does the same thing. I try and caliberate the neautral, full throttle, and full brake posions and it does all that, then it just goes nuts again.
I'm totally new to brushless and Lipo, last thing I ran was a Novak GTX in my trf 415 4-5 years ago.
I have a 2 in 1 program unit.
Also, its not the transmitter, because my nitro tourer and 1/8th scale cars are Fine, and as I said, i tried my new spare receiver in my 417, and same problems
the ESC initially did work A-OK, except for the running flat out for a few seconds once switched on. I'll double check the battery has plenty of power (SMC Cmax 5200, 50c+, Brand new)
cheers, thanks for your input

^ Have you calibrated the throttle/neutrals settings. Its the first thing you need to do. Mine did the same when I tried to adjust settings before I calibrated the throttle. Once I had calibrated the throttle as was well.

Had a very similar problem.. make sure u set it with the throttle in rev.. My m11 will do what u are saying if I don't set it this way.. then make sure u change the failsafe..

Hi, Arr see car,
yes I did. held the button in til flashes red, hit it once til 1 green flass, that set neutral, then hit the button again, 2 green flashes, then I hit full throttle on the trigger, then hit the button again for 3 green flashes and i hit full brake on the transmitter. from here it just goes nuts.
Warnos,
I have a M11 also, and I had already set the THR to "REV" as per ESC instructions. as for failsafe? you mean in the transmitter? didnt know it had one??
also just went back out, and I pluged the esc into my program box, that all seemed normal and then I hit the red button for 3 seconds whilst turned on to "reset to default" and then it stops going nuts, just goes back to almost neutral. so from there I try to set the neutral, full throttle and full brake positions and thats when it goes wacky =/
the motor is a brand new speed passion v3.0 5.5r also.
steering is normal whilst the ESC and the throttle has a mind of its own.
cheers guys

There you go.
first put on everything, hold button till red flash.
leave throttle on transmitter at neutral and press button
Then full throttle, and hold full throttle on your transmitter while pressing the button!
Then full brake and hold full brake while pressing the button!
What you now did if I understand your story right, is setting all 3 setting while your transmitter was in neutral position!
