I bought mine relatively recently and the brakes on 100% were strong enough to lock up the wheels on asphalt (track's closed so I can't test on carpet yet). On 75% they're a little weak though, so if you want to set you brake in the ESC, get a different one, if you don't mind setting it in the transmitter via DR this one works fine.

i picked one of these up to toss in a 17.5 2wd car and was wondering if its possible to eliminate the switch?
didnt think of that when i bought it as i hate external switches. i may end up selling and just buying a xr10 stock spec

Just got my OTA set up and went into this ESC.
Couple questions. DDRS punch rate. I assume that is just wheel spin control so if on high track carpet, put it on 9?
Also, there are several firmware options. V1_509, V1_20K, V1_17.5K. Are the last two RPM limited versions?
