I had a quick question for you guys who have replaced your center CVD's...when you replace them do you have to destroy the snap ring that holds the CVD pin in place or does the snap ring pry off without being destroyed? I have to replace mine soon and was wondering if I would need to buy the snap rings as well...please let me know if you know.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Thanks for info Chris....Thanks for the info X...yes it does sound like inexpensive insurance just to get the snap rings. Thanks for the info on gluing the snap rings X...never thought of that. So far I haven't had any problems with them. I will pick up the rings and center bones. Thanks!!

The Tekin 1900 buggy motor is the best and most versatile motor out there. Can't go wrong with this motor. Great for indoor, outdoor, small, medium, and large tracks.

is anyone running a 1400/6s setup in this car with the battery clearing the body? i was looking at 3000-3600 lipos on hobbycitys site and id like to know if any of those will fit...
also, is it still necessary to have 40+ C rating with this setup like whats needed on a typical 2000-2200/4s setup?

Durability is very good with this buggy. I've been running mine for 6 months and haven't broken anything. Shock towers are nice and thick so they don't bend. A-arms are beefy and have a tiny bit of flex. I have bent the front left cvd bone but thats from having too much end point on the servo...esentially my fault. Also I just replaced the center cvd bones because the pins were worn down to half thickness.

I'm running a 1550kv tekin on 5s and 6s, this is switching from mmm2200kv and I can't say enough about how great it is. Really smooth, 5s is plenty when you want to grab the throttle and 6s is just crazy on the track its killing my tires. Not to mention its barely warm.

I personally run a 1700 with a 22T pinion on the RC8Be. Lots of power, torque and of course, runtime!
Also, I must say that the RC8Be is a handling machine! I think that the faster you drive it, the better it handles. I noticed last week after being conservative in the main, I made more mistakes. Then I started pushing the pace and the car felt even better. I love this car!

I talked to a Team Tekin driver a couple weeks ago and he said that the 1900 is the hot ticket, and judging with how his car was, I would have to agree.

The RX8 esc/1700kv combo is a great choice and I would suggest hooking it up to Hotwire to fine tune. With the new software, you could change the settings to run like a 1900.
btw, I see ur from GA. did you go to the Georgia 1/8 Electric State Championships a couple weeks ago? I had the White and blue Associated there.

Yeah, I have a MaxAmps 6500SS 4s that pushes out 60C. I have no problem making 20 min and it will compete with any nitro out there, IMO.

no i missed it. i had a hyper 9e a few months back and there were only a couple e buggies in GA, so i sold it. (plus i was having big problems with the MMP at the time) seems like the class has grown a lot and since they will be racing them at psycho nitro next year i decided to pick up a rc8be and start racing my favorite class again
