Actually all the vehicles that i have, that are brushless spark. It is not just in one brand esc, lrp tekin novak all do it in my cars. I hate when it does it, makes me feel like something bad is going to happen, but for now they just keep on running.

Thumbs up 10 x 1.1 Tapered Pistons

For those of you who race and are using the 10x1.1 tapered pistons what oil weight are you using

Has anyone tried installing the tapered edge toward the top instead of bottom? (progressive toward shock compression not rebound)

i have been using them and they are great!! i face the round part towards the bottom. car is extremely stable and takes jumps and landings like none other!! just make sure you use 30wt or higher!!

put them in and you will see

ive tried 25 in the front and after you lift the car up and drop it like 3-4 inches it bottoms out very easy. not going against brent but that guy runs crazy setups lol it didnt work for me so i called ae too and chris told me 30/30 silver springs in the rear. works like a champ for me!! but everyone likes something different!

The stock motor mount has the motor sitting down right on the chassis...
On many motors, because of the diameter of the motor, they hit the chassis and don't allow for proper alignment.... Ya got 4 choices!

Replace the motor mount with an aftermarket that allows extra clearance.
Shim up the stock motor mount.
Machine a few thousandths off the bottom of the motor housing.
Put it together crooked and let the motor & chassis rub.

Hi,
Had my first run with the RC8Be last weekend and it handles great with the stock setup on my local track. I had the throttle profile set fairly soft so it was very gentle on the LRP/2500kv system I am running and a lot smoother to drive. I cant wait till next meet I going to flatten out the throttle profile and give the motor a bit more timing and see how I go...........

Default how much does your 8b weight?

I just got my new setup together. weighs 7lbs 13oz. Just curious where I'm at? I've milled my chassis some and am running tekin rx8 1550 on 4000mah
5s. I think it may be lighter then my 5250 4s 2200 setup but I never weighed that one. I'm also running the rc monster slipperential which adds a bit but I think is worth it.

I just received my tapered shock pistons from associated. However, there are no instructions with them. Which side faces up?...Never mind...Found it on Associated's web site.

Default Shock setup

Hey everyone. I just got one used and tried it out tonight at my local track. It is awesome. Just curious what shock setup you guys are running. What oil weight and springs?
