I notice a difference, not sure about everyone else though. The ESC will generally run a little cooler, and low-mid range throttle response will improve.

I just got SP GT2.0 Pro, it's missing the capacitor, does any one know the value of the capacitor, or got an extra I could buy? Thanx, Kevin

Does anyone know where I can find specs on the Silver Arrow V2.0 ESC and the Citrix R8; or at least explain the major differences? I have searched and came up with nothing. I am trying to figure which ESC would be best for both 1/8th off-road and on-road.

No......GT2.1 ProStock cannot run on 1S without a booster or receiver pack.

Thats why we have the GT2.1 EX release. No receiver pack or booster pack required....

R8 is more for ON ROAD use....I have that on my Serpent 960.

Silver Arrow II hands down the better ESC for 1/8th OFF ROAD use...plenty of abuse and no problem.

Yes it will. I run a 8.5 V3.0 with it, 528 mod profile with no fan in 4wd off-road. It works perfectly. Efficient and cool.

Is there any performance gain if i move from a sp gt2.0 pro esc to sp gt prostock esc. I already use the 528stock software on the gt2.0 pro esc. Iam running a sp 17.5 V3.

I haven't noticed any difference in proformance. The 2.1 prostock is lighter.

Like Raul mentioned...it does work with 5.5T or slower motor IF running 205G or 528MOD software...once you are using 10.5 or faster motor, SP won't recommand you using 528STOCK software for those motor unless you are well aware of the adjustment/setting.

We called out all the stock motors on the GT2.1 ProStock website simply because we are expecting ppl are using the 528STOCK software for STOCK motor. The ESC itself is capable to use up to 5.5T motor with 205G or 528MOD software, with 528STOCK software, from 10.5 to 21.5 only.
