Alright let me say this AGAIN! I've owned, driven, setup and raced both. The 2.0 is better and faster in every way. With the same driver behind the wheel, the 2.0 WILL be faster. I guess losi went through all the hassle of designing and building a new truck for nothing. Apparently the 1.0 is just as good. LMAO.

For the average person who gets into RC and gets either a 2.0 or 1.0, its not going to make much of a difference. They will be riding pipes and spinning out the entire time. I know in my first year racing I couldn't tell what one setup adjustment would do compared to another, and after that first year I finally started to go to that next level where I knew what I needed to do. What I'm trying to say is if you have no to little idea of what you are doing, the differences are minimal. But if you can actually run a consistent race without crashing more than once or twice and have the slightest idea of how the car works, then the 2.0 will be THAT much better, seconds faster per lap, and in a 30 minute main that could be the difference between battling for the lead and being lap traffic. The 2.0 is also much easier to drive so you can run more consistent races. Stop trying to argue how the 1.0 is just as competitive, your just digging yourself into a deeper and deeper hole.

well im a first year driver driving, a truggy but i did race buggy last year but i dont crash a whole lot really im just not that constant.
i drive the 1.0 t somewhat, hard it helps that im using the 1/12 wheelhexes its pretty stable intill it gets rough on the track. for now i would say im a average driver with, the truggy but i can run with some guys.
i been in this hobby for about 8 years not in offroad though.
i dont ride the pipes to much at all.

You keep saying 1/12 wheel hexes, there is no such thing! It's either +2mm or +1/2" and 0 offset wheels (+1/2" with 1/2 offset makes it illegal).
By your driving style, the 2.0 would fit you perfectly. You dont crash very much but you aren't consistent with the 1.0, the 2.0 will make you consistent. Seems like you actually know what your doing and would really benefit from one, your just holding yourself back from your true potential by running the 1.0.

Doesn't matter if its your first year driving truggy, I raced a Jammin SCRT at a big race, my first time driving the truck and I lead most of the main and ended up with 2nd place in Intermediate 4wd.

what about the kyosho st rr and the rc8t!...they are the same dimensions as the 1.0 and they are champion trucks!....yes the 2.0 is better!...but i bet jared tebo or ryan mayfield can win with the 1.0!...like he keeps saying we arent trying to be adam drake!...we just wanna run and have fun!....not be the bigshot with the badest truck outhere!

Unjust raced an rc pro event 2 weeks ago and he was saying that the new losi tanks will pass tech without the plug unless you have a "hotwheels track" of extra tubing! I have measured it and it seems to be legal without the plug.

They will be teching at this event.
You are correct sir.
Thatnks Frank, this is what I was looking for.
