Trey are you planning on making the Pro series race in Lafayette? If so I will see you there.

Well Grizz I took the advice you posted above for the RB mod 3 port I was breaking in and my MG-66. I had the engines out of the car and reset the idle gaps and needles to flush. I was surprised to see how much in fact leaning the lsn effected the idle gap. Needless to say they both run like rapped apes. I didn't know the mg could have more power, but my god that thing is wicked! As you know I really love my 3 port. Modded it is very fast. Since my tune was way off on the mg I thought the 3 port was almost as fast as the mg. No!!!!!! And I tried the 2 pipes on them. The go 2072[mg-66 loves it] and the dynamite 086[3 port likes it] When I had the 086 on the mg it felt snappier down low on a run up too double-triples,but ran out of leg. And that's a top end pipe. The 086 on my 3 port makes it a small wild animal all around. The 2072 pipe on the 3 port tamed it all around, but still had good top end but mileage suffered. The mg-66 with the 2072 pipe is giving me 12:20's per tank, and the 3 port 13:30's+best 14:02. I am going to install the smallest restrictor I have for the mg,along with some softer clutch springs . Only to get some traction. My friend watching the car with the mg in it said it would go a hell of a lot faster if we could get the power to the ground. WE have 2 long straights on the track and the tires would just spin the whole way until I let off the throttle. When I was triggering the throttle at half -to full it was hooking up and like a rocket. But we both know how hard it is to do that all the time The only other problem is the car wants to wheely. It's going at a good pace, hit a little bump and up comes the front. I can see the front wanting to pop up when ever I get on the gas. Any suggestions?

Nice one Matt. Yep, there is a bit of an art to tuning the long needle carb, but once you get it right it's a sweet sytem. Glad you got to experiance the full power of the MG66 If track conditions and set up allow, it's a wild ride when you can get the power down

2072
Tried quite a few and only two really stand out on the 5 Port - GO 2072 or Dynamite 086. Both will give wicked performance on the 5 Port. 0801 is OK, but not as good as these two IMO

Amain doesn't have any .21 Go's listed on their site. This makes me nervous, any inside info?

Okay on a modded 5 port it's going to be hard to tame. That engine had power the way it came,IMO. I owned [blew it to hell] a rb modded 5 port that really belonged in a truggy or stripped out geo metro! I used a dynamite 086 with that engine until I got the go-tec 2072. The 2072 will smooth it out,but for some reason even tho the dynamite 086 makes it a handful, you can tame it down with clutch springs. I used some kyosho .95's. The 086 pipe gave me close to 13 min run times as where the 2072 dropped by about 30-45 seconds. I am not a super talented driver so for me I lucked out and was able to pick up a modded 3 port which I really like. But for the ultimate engine, smooth, power up the a$$ I run an mg-66 with the 2072 pipe. run times 12:30's. So if you don't have either of the pipes I would rec. the 2072. The pipe can be found at answer rc usa which is the usa distributor for massive mods mg-66 http://www.answer-rcusa.com/

See the dynamite i have a chance at a new one for cheap and local and ive head good things about it. I mean i plan on running a resrictor at about a 6.5-7.5 so i might jsut pick up the 086 for now than try the 2072 later. Is the ofna and dynamite 086 the same?
