I have tried this back-to-back for comparsion:

Sensored-mode with Turbo w/ 11.5R (boost:50, turbo:5, delay:0.4s, S:3000ish, E:14000ish)

Dual mode with 7.5R (timing advance:80)

Both motors do not have adjustable timing.

They are about equal in speed. 11.5R was a little easier to drive because it was not as punchy as the 7.5R. However, the temp for 11.5R was about 65C while the 7.5R was about 40C. Outside temp was about 14C.

This was on a medium sized track, touring. Both FDR were about the same, around 7.8ish.

yes, that is why we set the timing advance to 100 so if we loose a sensor wire we will be in sensorless mode and still get some timing

my laysaft pullies on my cyclone are the 3racing pullies where i can change from 16t-17t-18t. im putting the 18 tooth on since i just got the tc belts so i am going to be the same fdr i hope. i know my car weighs alittle more since its the cyclone s. im just starting to think that my motor might be getting tiered or i need to give it a good cleaning

It does not ,it relates to the 128, 256, 512 math. As they want fast computation in the unit they are using RPM numbers that work good with computer chips.

uhmmm, yeah, i am not talking 1s as in lipo, i ment 1s math as in binary math as in multiple 1's

you are right on one thing, that being a new body everytime the LRP goes up in smoke and melts the shell

Sounds like you are finding the same thing I am. I am running 1/12th 10.5. I find anything over 55 combined boost and turbo does not work for me. This is with both a Tekin motor and a Duo. Sure I could run more but laptimes fall off hard and heat becomes an issue. I have even dumped a couple times. If I drop the rollout to compensate, the car is noticeably slower. More rollout with less timing seems to work much better for me. Here is what I ended up with at the last race. I was leading with it until the car's handling went haywire.

Medium sized carpet track with decent grip and a fairly fast layout.
Duo 1 10.5 in the first hole (least timing)
Boost 45
Turbo 9
Delay .6
ramp 1 (runs cooler and no slower vs. 2 and 3)
Start rpm 2xxx
End rpm 10000
rollout 67mm. Anything under about 64 results in slow straight speeds no matter how much timing I put in it.

I should also point out that the only guy with a faster laptime than me is running even less timing. More timing does not always equal more speed.

2 units of Rs pro with the hotwire will be arriving for me n my friend in 2 days. I read alot about it and decide to go for it instead of the LRP Sxx and black diamond. I have the software ready in my pc and am just waiting for it to arrive. Is anyone kind enough to share previous settings on the rs pro hotwire (203) in previous races or setup? I love the function but ofcourse would not like to blow it just incase i did the worng setting to make it fast. Our track here are Asphlat with 50meters straight with lots of technical sharp curves. Motor class race here are Mod, Stock 11.5t and sometimes novice stock 9T. I have succesfully won the novice class using 107 SP firmware with ease and ofcourse i would like to have another victory but using only 11.5t setting on the tekin. So is anyone kind enough to share lots of setting which could help me out please?
