I wouldn't pay too much attention to Irgo's posts. He had a strange attitude to the Speed Passion stuff.

GT2.0 is undoubtedly a better (and faster) brushless speedo than the previous versions.

I am not Suggesting,
i am only giving you an Option Mind. (benefit of those sp)
by not leaving SP GT 1.1 for nothing.
But if you are looking for better Perfomance,
sosidge was right, SP GT 2.0 is better choice,

but don't change SP GT 1.1 Pro with SP GT 2.0 LPF it's a waste.

Thanks -- the track is a damp clay mixture, but with a loose layer of dust/"fluff" on top much of the time. I race indoors on a 450' +/- lap length track, and except for practice, all heats are 5 min., with 6-min. mains. My motors tend to stay cool (for the reasons you mentioned), and the SP13.5R 'Ultrasportsman' I've been running was usually around 115F-125F after a run.

My little team was running a 1.1 and a 2.0 LPF in identical vehicles, there was a significant difference in performance with spec motors. Now we have a 2.0 LPF and Pro in the same, don’t see any difference best we can tell. Just our experience in cars, not based on reading specification sheets, your mileage may vary as they say.

What’s a brushed motor, I’ve (gladly) forgotten?

For anybody that may have run it (not sure if it's out yet)

Would it be worth me buying the new GT2.1 Prostock speed control over the slightly older GT2.0 Pro Brushless ESC.

For touring car btw

I noticed Marc running the older 2.0 at the ETS.. was this just his prefered choise or not yet recieved the 2.1?

Cheers

Can anyone answer my previous question about gearing and timing for a 17.5 in TC.

Also I can't figure out if the v2.0 is 1s lipo capable for use in 12th scale.

I don't know what motor you are using but this seems to work well for me:
Track 80' x 48'
med grip
Trinity Nemesis 17.5 w/ 10* motor timing
4.21 FDR
110 firmware
25% drag brake, DRRS 8, brake force 100%, rev. force 100%, IBF 1, neutral range 1, AMTS 7 or 8 depending on motor temp. Motor is between 135-145 F

tested to run with 107 software in the last race ..
and I was lying alongside a top car with advnaces elc. esc. and the skillde not much .. on straight, it was probably me who had the upper hand.

not high temp on the motor or esc.

However, this driver was that it was broken ball in the car ... so I'm very happy with the new software .. running 107, DRRS: 6 AMTS: 22.50 Engine: speedpasson v. 3.0 17.5T

Caulking 4.35 Car: Xray T3
