So very True.....Most Carbon you see on Pro kits these days are regular SSG composite...So far from real CF its almost not even funny....strength wise they are NOTHING compared to a True CF part...problem is the REAL deal stuff cost's BIG BIG bucks.....so much that it would NOT be cost effective for a Mfg to even think about using it for a production part.

I got access to some One of a Kind CF-18 aka F-18 grade CF from Boeing(scraps from the new Boeing 787) that i can have laid up in w/e config i want as far as thickness and i have a buddy in the US who cuts stuff.....His name is Shawn and his company is Advance Custom Engineering or ACE for short....he does A lot of Hotbodies stuff for the guys and has some Pretty Fancy Alum parts for sale...when my CF is in season he has parts.....currently waiting.

ANY composite question's i can answer and if I Cant...I know some one who can.

sure is......i run my E on the bug chassis with Great success....overall better rough stuff handling and being 100g lighter then the stock plate is always a bonus....i run matrix tower's on my buggy's as well...custom 1 offs on truggy.
Oh no what have I started here with the carbon chassis thing

That E buggy looks like a sweet setup Integra as does that carbon trugg chassis.

I was just curious about them as I wasn't sure if a carbon chassis would stand up to the offroad environment, but you guys have answered that for me.

Although I know that my home track would probably trash one, when I look at the state of my alloy plates

2nd at the Canadian Winter Nationals 09

reason for No truggy chassis....is i didn't have it at the time.

the rear carbon skid never wear's as i keep new DE skids on hand when they get thin...the front is the only place i have to watch as once its through the 1st skid its Into the chassis....i actually run 2 skids on the front...you cant really tell but there's 2 on there.
