Judging buy your sig, you haven't tried one either.
Same thing as the RB K9. You can tell everyone just
how it runs when you get it, by posting the info about
it over on the proper thread.

I don't own the comparator, my boss does, I am a machinist. Nick Moxley had one of Neal's modded Gx 7 ports at race last weekend, Nick said it had a long needle. I never actually watched his car though to see what it ran like.

He said it ran good...not as much top end as the modded V-Spec........ However its not really fair to compare yet, the GX7 had very little fuel thru it and was extremely tight, as well was running full shims and a weighted flywheel.... He said it ran good considering, but just wasn't showing the crazy power he is used to.... But as I say its too early to tell....... The Go 7 5.5 we are running has 2.5 gallons on it, shims removed and it absolutely screams.

I might give the long needle a try again next spring, most Usa customers had better luck with the shorter needle.

Rex
Yeah, the tuning with the long needle is different, but once you get the hang of it, it is actually easier to tune and run than the shorter needle (as invariably you only have to tune the bottom end once you have it set up properly).
You will find a smoother power band and a little better economy with the longer needle too.
Give one a try Rex (check out the tuning tips on MMods or my web site), you will like it
All the MG66's come with the long needle too.

+1, Once you get your head around the different way of tuning, it's almost too easy. I remember the first time I tuned it with Mark's guide, I thought I must have missed something, as it was way too easy.....

Mark hand modded mine, so I guess it will be a little different to the production model. Before the mod I ran at a bee's dick under flush, now I'm around 1 turn. But as I said, I'm sure the production model will be different.

I should be well stocked with this shipment.. at least for a couple of weeks. I'll plan on doing a refresh order on Jan 1st, depending on when this one reaches me.

Also, the site isnt up yet. I just wanted to show you guys what we are working on. I need to add some more content and some banners on the side, but the framework is done. most of the artwork is as well! Forums are installed too- just need to modify some of the categories, permissions, etc. We're close!
I need the "o" rings that actualy go into the block at the base or the neck of the carburator. I have the exploded view of the engines you sent me in the price list for the parts. I just did not know if they where the same part numbers or not.

The part numbers on the new GX5-R that are located in the same spot as the ones I need are:

2 @ OR-0004
2 @ OR-0014
2 @ 21-GX5R
My cylinder heads are the .21 5 port turbo heads but black in color. I did not know if these parts where the same or not. It would be nice to get a complete set of spart parts once I start to stock these engines or sell them.

By the way Trey,

Have you gotten up with Matt Anderson at Anderson R/C
I keep asking him and he just says that he sent information over to you. I realy need him to get on board in some kind of way. He does not even have a Go Engine at all.
