Scale decreased. Running speed hasn't. Something has to give...that's traction.

Where's your alma mater?

Funny!
But if we're talking comparative scales and the corresponding differences in speed between them, since 1/18th out of the box aren't as fast as 1/10th, it seems as if you're trying to blur the lines of reality.

Did your light blow out?

Its more of a speed/power to weight ratio...If you run a mini-t at the same scale speeds as a xxx-t it should handle close to the same - setup ability of a 1/10 (shocks and fluids) Try a mini-t on a prepped track with holeshot style tires and it will run good...

Kind of funny. I got my January RC Car Action today and there's a full article on the SC18 in there. Yet, AE's site doesn't even have any mention of it yet and I've seen no date's or anything released at all yet.

Just got my January 2010 issue of RC Driver in the mail and Tony P. has a preview article on the SC18 and some better pictures. About the only real specs he included were that the chasis is 15mm longer.

When can I get one of these! Just like the first 18T, I can't wait!

It actually has specs listed for WB and Width too, and it looks like there will be almost as much size difference between the SC10 and the Detta SC as there is between the Detta SC and the 1/16 Slash.

SC18 WB = 166mm (per RCCA)
Detta SC WB = 185mm
1/16 Slash WB = 206mm

SC18 Width = 143mm (per RCCA)
Detta SC W = 168mm
1/16 Slash = 185mm

Looks like we'll have 3 quite differently sized trucks.
