Actually, I believe the kit comes with the parts to make it a diff.

I just want to make sure there is supposed to be no or very little movement in the spool, when turning the outdrives in opposite directions?

Ive tried to track them down myself. I emailed the guy that made them with no response. Best Ive learned is you just have to wait to see if he posts more on ebay.

I also just got a TC5 R kit, I have collected everything to build it.

One question, should I use a spool in the front if I am running on asphalt? If so or not, why?

hum...i was studying setups posted on associated website and it got me confused on rear toe ins , it mentioned 2.5 total , with all rear caster block avaliable ( 0 , .5 ,1 ) how do they acheive 2.5 toe ins ? , or does it means 1.25 each side ? really confused , any advise or input is much appreciated..

You add up what is on the hub + the amount that the arm mount is shimmed. .5 on hub + 2.0 on arm = 2.5 toe. This is always measured per side not total of both sides.

He just picked a number as an example. The shims behind the rear arm mount will determine how much inboard toe the car has(toe in the arm), and then you add whatever toe you have in the hubs for the total toe in. The kit comes with 1*, 1,5* and 2* toe in shims for the arms.

Exactly. Just read page 9 of the manual and you will see the placement for the C shaped shims giving the desired angle of rear arm mount.

hello, thanks for good info guys, yeh page 9 of the manual had really explained it ...just picked up this car and still trying to learn the car , i know most of the questions probably have been answear somewhere in this thread but kinda hard for me to go through them all

okay, so if i use the 2mm shim that means i can run a "0" rear hub carrier and still achive 2mm toe ins that i want ?

Yes, if you want 2 degs. But if your running on asphalt prob. 2.5 - 3.0 degs. will plant the back better. I prefer the 0 deg hubs, all things equal, they are the same right and left and if you break 1, the hub will work for either side.
