Dumb question probably...here goes anyway:

Do the Losi 2.0 wheels (zero offset) fit the RC8T?

A buddy wanted the AE ride just to be different. I'm just wondering if it's possible to swap back and forth...we "pit" for each other... sometimes it's convenient for setting up and running through the practice sneakers.

FYI Stuff:

Losi zero offset wheels do work on the rc8t. Physically tested them. The losi wheels' insert is a tad lower and noticeably wider. Less sidewall is a good thing imo.

I just bought a pair of HS-7955TGs. Got another question or two:

What LiPo pack are you guys running?
Do I need a BEC or regulator for those servos?
Will the Reedy 2S Pro Lipo Receiver Pack (10C ASC631) fit in the rx box?

Thanks in advance,
Mark M.

I run regulated so it all depends on your radio system if can for sure run 100% unregulated.....7955's are lipo ready...no need for a reg.....as for packs i run small 900mah packs from ebay for dirt cheap...but unregulated i know they dont last nearly as long as being regulated....so i would think your Reedy 2100 would be more then enough for a day's worth of fun unregulated....what radio system do you use ?

I recently upgraded to lipo reciever packs and jr high volt servos. I notices that after 20 mins or practice and 2- 5 min quals my 2000 mah pack took 1100 to charge it. After a 30 min main it took 1200 to fully charge it. Maybe the high volt servos drain harder but I use to get about an hour on a 1600 nimh with a 7955 and 7965. It looks like I am going to get the same hour with the lipo and high volt servos.

I run those HItec servos unregulated with the Losi 2000 lipo pack. I run about an hour and it is only down to 8.0 volts. My charger does not tell me what mah it puts back in. No doubt in my mind I could run it for another hour with no problems before charging.

Question of my own. Trying to run the composite shoes in the clutch with aluminums. This avoids that aluminum buildup. How long can I expect to get out of a pair of these shoes. I run a Novarossi p5xs and a 053 pipe.

If anything run 3 alum 1 comp...for the reason that 2 will most likely induce too much slip into the clutch for a truggy application....and they will wear on the faster side....just dont stall it ANY higher then green and they should last a decent while.

ya dont stall the carbons any higher then green...they wont take it...the truggy will beat on the 2/2 combo...that's why i run a M2C 4 shoe on truggy and stock losi set-up on buggy.

yes sir....i think it would work for what your trying to do....and even if the comp does wear a little faster....your only using 1....so a pair will last 2X as long in essence...try it on green first and if the wear is crazy fast go to black...your not really looking for that 1 shoe to do much of anything but start the initial clutch grab a little early and the fact it will lube the clutch and prevent slag build up.

i have taken a polishing bit to the inside and hit it real fast....the fit on some bearing's is better then others...but its normally a perfect fit as you dont want it too loose or the outer race starts spinning and defeats the purpose of the bearing itself.

This is the best for longevity, easier to drive, more forgiving, and most predictable, according to most of the Losi pros.
