I haven't gotten a chance to do any testing yet. Everything was a perfect fit on the build. I am hoping to get some runtime on it this weekend. I will update after that. I see no reason why it wouldn't hold up. It certainly seems a lot tougher than the stock setup.

Man I still loose gas in a bad crash with just running a flat zip tie, no fuel tubing and no end on the tie. If I have a bad crash it still dumps a little fuel in the roof. I even did the tank mod where you install the linkage stoppers on the springs to make the springs stiffer and it still spills sometimes. It happens less often but it does happen. I am ordering the tank puller and see how that works.

The tank pulls have a little hook that catches on the body in a crash. Keeps it from pulling the lid open.

As for the build pics, I would post some if I had taken any when I built it. It's togather now, and I don't care to pull it back apart just for pics. In all reality, Mark Mader did all of the work involved in the mod, so theres not too much for me to show anyway. I can get some pics of what the modded gearbox looks like, and what the finished product looks like, but I don't have any build pics.

I dump fuel in buggy with a Losi tank puller, it just keeps me focused on staying on all fours

Throttle bands my Friend....the black goody bands...they work like a Charm on the tank...and now since ive added the new puller no more leaking....it still leaked with a plain old tie like yours did even with a couple bands....so i added a couple more....its a little challenging to pull it open unless you give it a good tug....but hey that's the pit man's problem.
