guys, how will the 5 Port p/s/c combo work on a novarossi cranckase? I'm a Nova user and the Go Tech price tags are simply irresistable.

Never done it personally, but I do recall several posts on this thread (way back) regarding guys putting GO internals into Nova's, and by all accounts they drop straight in.
The GO Pro series is based on the Novarossi P5's (someone please correct me if I am wrong) so it makes sense.

I've done it for customers before and everything fit perfect. I suggest you have someone do it that has alot of experience with motors. The shimming came out perfect on mine but thats one area that could be different.

If I remember right 22racer told me that the gen 4 go was the novarossi based engine. the cranks sure looked identical. Sorry Rex, we must have been typing at the same time.

Does anyone in the US have the new gc engines in stock yet? I think I'm going to give the 7 port a try.

I just want to say that I got my go engine running and it is pretty much broken in now. Also the engine is a beast!!! This is my first aftermarket engine and wow, so much bottom end power. I dropped it in my Hyper 7 and took the hypers stock engine out and there is so much more power. The engine runs very smooth and seems to hold a tune very good. By the way, it's the go tech 5 port. I'm so happy with it. I can't wait to hit the track with it. Awesome motor. I also have the dynamite 053 midrange pipe. Seems to work very well with the motor.

+1 on the 086 If you like the 053 you will lovvvvvve the 086 on your 5 port.

yeah man! Pretty tight on budget these days too... Anyway it seems my stock nova sleeve (08036) has much bigger intakes compared to the Go's 5 port, however, it (nova sleeve) lacks those relieve ports. What does those two ports 'relieve' anyway?

Anyway I got the 3 port p/s/c combo (2203). Reason being I'ma do some mods on it and the 3 port sleeve has so much meat to cut away!! THis will be my first try Oh, the sleeve slipped right in without hiccups. GREAT!

BTW do take note that the nova's piston and conrod is much lighter than the one from Go. Go Tech owners can fit in the R7 rod from novarossi, it's super slippery and light! Costs more tho

No kidding?!?!?! ABSOLUTELY NO BOTTOM END COMPROMISE??!?!?!?! Coz I got an 053 and JP-4, and heard lotsa stuff about how the 086 gives insane performance. I heard that fuel consumption will be higher as a tradeoff... how many seconds of runtime will I sacrifice by running the 086? Not looking for precise figure, a rough estimate will help greatly

When I used my jp-4 sucked fuel/lose of power. 053 more bottom[slight imo]

What more can you ask for

From memory the header length on the 086 and 053 Dynamites is the same, which is really what effects bottom end the most. The 053 is a mid range pipe and the 086 a top end pipe, so like Matt stated the 053 will have a tad more bottom due to it's mid range design. The 5 Ports have so much bottom end you could loose 25% of it and still have more than enough for most situations anyway and the 086 will draw more top end out the 5 Port and make it a screamer. Get an 086 for your motor, you won't regret it
