I'll try to fit a Redline in my JS for giggles. With a Novak, I had no problems getting full adjustment. I ran a 94/46 with no problems for a 21.5 for TA. With a 94 spur you should be able to get from 4.2 up to 3.5 very easily without swapping spurs. Add a 104 and 108 and you should be good for anything down to a 5.55 and still not have fitment issues.
When I say up, the pinion size increases, down decreases the size. Don't mean to be confusing.

Won't fit as in no room to move or the hole in the chassis is to small??
Is the can of the Tekin motor that big??
Please more info on the motor like diameter, lenght and so on.
Not going to buy one if i need to make the car like swiss cheese
cheers Roy

If don't mind only being able to move the motor 1mm or so and only be able to change one tooth or two max then go ahead and try it.

I posed the motor question to Wolf Hobbies. This was the response:
"How much trouble you have fitting motors depends on your ability to pay attention and do math. This issue keeps coming up and we keep answering it. If you add up the number of teeth on your pinion gear and spur gear the total should be between 140 and 150. There is plenty of room for fine tuning if you just follow that simple rule. We post this tip on the treads every few months for new users and the LE edition comes with an instruction sheet explaining this too. I use everything from 10 turn to 17.5 and I only have two spur gears. Lack of motor adjustment space is never an issue."

I haven't had the car a long time but I tried numerous motors since I work a hobby shop and been thru many to find the few that fit great.

The LRP fit's for sure with no mods needed.
The GM you need to remove a little of the chassis plate to make the hole bigger at the rear end of the motor like the new 009 chassis plate.
Speedpassion fit's also as a mate of mine ran one tonight.
All other i don't know yet
cheers Roy

Yes that works but won't work if you are using the Trinity DUO motors or the Tekin. If you use the Novaks or the Losi and I think Hacker as well that formula works, why because those motors have a tapered endbell and that allows more room from the side belt tensioner.

Best thing is for guys to try fitting different motors by borrowing different motors from fellow racers just to see what fits and what don't fit as well. This way you didn't spend any money and just have some time put in to see what works best.

The problem here is that most drive the LRP or the GM in stock class and not the Novak,Teking or Speedpassion.
So borrowing is not an option for me
I own 2 LRP X11 10.5 stock spec and a GM 10.5 and 13.5 stock motor but if i want to try another motor i have to buy one
I wished that some one imported Novak or Tekin here again against normall prices.
cheers Roy

I did Dremel the tensioner but you still don't get much room to move the motor. THe Novak has been the best for me. I still feel like the Ballistic was made with the E4 in mind when Novak made it.

Can't wait to run my car this week with the new Wolf aluminum parts on it. I put the car on my gauges and readjusted everything for this weekends racing and immediately seen alot less slop and easier to get my adjustments where I want them. That being said my car worked great with the car being all stock so I expect the same with the new parts on but it will be stronger and less slop so it can't hurt the car.
The new caster blocks from Wolf are like the K Factory ones and have bearings in them but 30 dollars cheaper. I never like red alum but the new alum steering knuckles look really good and more of a really dark red or marron color if you want to call it that. Looks great.

Good luck Wyd this weekend.
I myself have also a race to drive this weekend.
I think you have to check the TM site after the weekend as i believe there will be some little artikel about us there.
For nitro and for ETC.
We (here in Lelystad Holland) have a lot of TM drivers so it should be fun
Check this http://www.teammagic.com.tw/en/newsf...21104333-07672

Not a bad day of racing. We had 23 entries in 17.5 today. I ended up qualifying 3rd and finished 4th overall so not a bad day of running with my E4 today.
Are indoor asphalt ended up getting so much traction since we had a large amount of racers today that I had some traction rolling issues. I had great steering today as normal but the high traction caused me to have a little extra steering and could traction roll if I wasn't careful. WIll work on that for next week. Still a great day overall. Car still was as quiet as ever around the rack and the tires made pretty much no noise thru the corners.
Do any shock pistons fit the TM shocks other than the TM pistons? Just wonder if anyone found anything else that works. I would like a little small hole piston for the car in the front but if something else fits the shocks cool but if not I will have to order some TM pistons.

Pro10noob I did run the DUO motor today. Since I have my belt tensioner really sanded sown with my Dremel I have a good amount of room to move my motor, not as much as the Novaks but enough that I could gear up or down 3 or 4 teeth. I also trimmed the brace that goes behind the motor. Not alot but just a little so the back of the motor clears the corner of the brace.
