Ok that makes sense I guess too that it still carries only one ceramic bearing and one steel bearing?

For $399, it better gives you a ceramic bearing

To add to the question, can you tell us weather it is wurth the extra cost to go with the 09 over the 08?

i belive that the 09 353 is more worth than the 08 since it is also tuned. but if you have the 08 353 tuned then i think that no it is not worth to buy the 09

OK this was going to be my next question, I see you have stated that Tuned is much better? can someone please explain why this is the case? as if to say the untuned 353 is not wurth it's price?

Last season I ran the NS12 TS1 with great success as I was able to run lap times up with the fastest at the track who are running these tuned top end engines. Please keep in mind for my situation that my track has a straight that is only 195 feet but I am still able to wind out second.

Thanks
Sean

its not that its not worth the price. if the price is very good then its worth getting the plain 08 353, but your previous question asked about if it is worth the extra cost.

This is true. Can it be better expained as to why a Tuned version is better?

first of all the tuned version of an engine:
  • all parts are checked so there is the best fit between the parts(piston cylinder). they are choosen by hand
  • also when it says tuned it means that the crankshaft has been worked, and is now lighter since it is worked some metal is gone... and also the crankshaft "hole" is widened i think and there is also a better fuel flow since it is polished.
so in the end the tuned version is always better(meaning faster) than the "stock" version, but cant say that the stock version is not fast, its Very fast also.

NiTrO BoOsTeR to answer your question, i always have the same problem what i do is check the underside of my head, because there are marks left from the button head. i think it doesnt really matter which site the button head is...
hope this helps

The button is compleetly symetric so it does not matter how you mount it. The standard is facing the dots to the exhaust.
