Has anyone tried the new turbo plugs from Go, they seem like a reasonable price compared to OS turbos.

First batch arrived here in NZ early this week, along with some Gen 5.5 cranks
Going to try a #3 hot plug this weekend, if the rain stops !! - which doesn't look likely

Is that you Tony (infernotb) ?

You are probably too rich on the low speed. Make sure you set your idle gap to .7mm -1mm, then use your low speed needle to set rpm at idle not the idle screw. Your top end may be too lean after adjusting bottom.

If what racer22 has suggested doesn't work pressure test your tank you may find its faulty I had this same problem with 1 of my engines and and after trying everything to get it to run right it turned out it was a faulty tank.

I am having alot of problems getting my 7 port to tune.

I have lost the factory needle settings. The buggy does not have the get and go like I am looking for.

I have a great trail of smoke from the exhaust but the temps pretty high. Around 280

I have about a total of maybe 10 tanks through the motor. The breakin process went through pretty well but I had a problem with it flaming out.

How did you run in the engine ?

Sounds like heat swell causing blow by ..

You arent fully broke in either. Be patient give it to at least a gallon through 1.5 befor you see all it has. I cant see the 7 port not being enough, thats alittle warm too. What clutch set up are you running? If your stock you may want heavier springs and or alum shoes. Thats what guys are running on the 7. Hey grizz or Massive is it worth having an 086 and a 2047 or are they pretty much the same?

10 tanks is not run in for a 7 Port. The motor will still be tight as. Like Malik stated, you need about 1 to 1.5 gal through the 5 and 7 Ports before you see their full potential. If you lean it out too much when it is still so tight all you will get is lean bog.
Sounds to me like you have the bottom too rich and the top too lean, maybe because of an incorrect idle gap to start with.
Set the idle gap to .7 - 1 mm max and retune from there. Set the HSN flush and the LSN about 1 turn in for a start. Tune with the LSN until you get good performance through 90% of the rev range (remember it's still tight), then fine tune the last 10% with the HSN. You should end up about .5 of a turn in on the HSN with a race tune depending on pipe, clutch etc. Run 1.1 springs and alloy shoes for the best performance from the 7 Port. If you running .9 or even 1.0 springs it may be the clutch that is causing the slouchy performance. There ain't nothing slow about a 7 Port with 1.1 springs - thats a guarantee

Hey Malik, Mark would be the expert on those pipes, so I will let him fill us with knowledge - eh Mr Massive
