It's a tuned N21BF by Massimo Fantini. RCAMERICA is their primary distributor, but you can correct me if I'm wrong.

I had a Max Power M5 2 years ago, and it was one of the best engines I have ever run. Smooth powerband, and wicked fast on the top end...it was tight as a drum for about 5 1/2 gallons (could not turn it over by hand...great compression) until the main bearing blew and fubarred the piston

i do recall the specs stating that the M3 crank is 14mm vs the 13 mm of the N21BF but that could have been a typo...

Isn't the Rb Concepts S3 the same as a N21bf ???

They go for around $230 but I would rather save up and get the Max C5Q...it's a crazy engine. Novarossi parts, quality and reliability.

Why should I buy a Novarossi over a RB engine? The RB has a very good reputation, but I know little about Novarossi.

Poppin you are confusing the hell out of me..Didn't you all just say the Max MX3 was a Nova N21BF that was race tuned? wouldn't that be Nova quality, parts and reliability also?

Nothing to be confused about buddy, It's basically a Novarossi that has been tweaked to Max Power specs. So yes it is.

If you haven't heard lately, Rody Roem the founder of RB left the company to pursue his own interests. It wouldn't be RB Concepts without Rody Roem. Besides, most of RB's engine parts are made by Novarossi. Take a look at the carburetor boot and you will see the Novarossi logo.

Novarossi will always be Novarossi.

Rody recently left RB, the primary reason I made the switch and sold my RB's. RB without Rody is kinda like...bah I dont know, but it isnt the same thing...and I didnt wanna be going down with the sinking ship if you know what I mean.

sure , the #5 hot plug is what they are putting in the new p4's , if you have a standard plug toro nero you can use it . if you put the turbo comb. chamber on your p4 that it comes with than you can use the toro nero plug from your toro turbo sorry

the max m3 is a p5x , fantini tuned crank w/ 3 port sleeve . basically a n21b limited w/ 25.8mm bearing , excellent engine but i would buy a n21b for the price difference

i have made some of these w/ ceramic bearings , shaved a little off the crank and sleeve and holy smokes excellent truggy engine for 140ft. straights or less

not exactly sure what the s3 is but rb has different engine specs for the most part than most novarossi engines . the n21b limited is a cheap gem IMO and i am sure many will agree
