8T 2.0

Did anybody come over to the 2.0 from an rc8t. If so, what are your thoughts? I just finished building an rc8t but after seeing the 2.0s yesterday for the first time I think I may have made a big mistake. The reason why I left losi this year (8t 1.0 last season) was b/c of the build quality and therefore terrible durability - slop for days after just a few races). Has this been fixed? Thanks guys.

I just raced my 8ight T 2.0 for the first time yesterday and came from an RC8T that I raced since late September. I didn't have alot of complaints with the RC8T but it definitely developed more slop and wear than average, but it never broke in during the time I raced it. As for handling, there's no comparison between the new Losi truggy and the RC8T. The 2.0 will out handle the Associated truggy hands down. The 2.0 floats through the rough sections like nothing I've ever had and it carries corner speed better than anything I've seen. To say that I'm happy with my 2.o would be an understatement.

But if you must stay with a losi setup the best I have found is 4 KHZ 7075 shoes, 2 gold and 2 silver springs. should last a couple of gallons, just make sure you deburr them after every weekend.

gold and green is what i run and my shoes last quite some time.....you will eat shoes ALOT faster with silver springs....they are imo too hard for most application's and end up burning down the shoes way too fast.

found that setup to be a tad too soft for my 1.0 truggy. But for the 2.0 it will probably be golden.

Well IMO the best clutch setup on this planet is the fioroni turbo twin 2007 sliding clutch with black carbon shoes and 2 hard fioroni springs. 10+ gallons on my origional shoes and they are still running strong, actually too strong for my local indoor track.
