Geez Dude, you don't know a bargain if you see one, right?

First of all, you can use spare parts from any PICCO evo3 based engine.

Secondly, how about getting 3 engines for the price of one Novarossi and be set for at least one season, two if you are not the merciless engine monger.

Would you really consider buying an engine for 109 Euros, that comes with an extra rod, and then buy spares, like a piston/sleeve set for more than the engine cost?

I got 3 of them and I will run each until it doesn"t turn anymore and then dump it and start with the next....

well, what more do you need? Spec 3 was based on "old" EFRA specs that limited crank scoops severely, the scoops could not extend into the crankshaft passage. The newer rules don't have that limitation. That was the main diff in the rules, I suppose the timing has also been altered in addition to the crank. I have never had a Spec 3, but I've used Spec 2 and 4.

Yep, same as what olev said plus the carb is different (thermal insulated) - also, the spec 4 has a lower cooling head

Hey guys, Im having some trouble tuning this engine.. Heres where Im at:

The temp is ok, we dont have any fancy gadgets to check, but a drop of water on the head shows no signs of bubbling whatsoever..

However, whilst driving the car, when i release the throttle, the RPM stays up and doesnt go back down to idle until I hit the brakes or dont touch the throttle for a few secs..

Just a note, im using a crappy AM radio which has literally no functions on it but throttle, brake and steering.. Could this be a factor?

Thanks in advance all !!

Seems like an overly rich low end combined with too high idle revs. Close the low end needle (on the slide) until the revs stay up for at least 5 seconds, then lower the idle revs so that the engine does not rev high after releasing throttle.
You might end up having to richen the top end a bit as well, or you could end up too lean.
