[QUOTE=rmargiotta;5334624]I'm not sure yet, I think there is a good chance of it.
Rocco,
What about update kit for the 808? Are the changes / updates big enough to warrant that?

I belive newer kits have revolution style bearings with a rubber seal on one side and metal seal on the other. Put the metal side facing into the diff. Also the new kits have the bearing spacer that eliminates the issue. Xray bearings are some of the best but a bit spendy.
To go along with Slaytanic's post:
I still remove the seal on the bearings and pack them with a bunch of high quality grease (look at the HUDY greases, it's good stuff). Avid hooks a brother up, so I haven't run the XRAY 'revolution' style bearings yet, but both are great bearings.
As far as shimming the diffs goes, I've found the only diff that required shimming was the Active Diff, the stockers drop right in. That HUDY spring steel is so hard that you'll find that if you keep your bulkheads sealed properly and a little grease on the gears they pretty much won't wear....period...

while i am here I am after some suggestions on what engine works best this may be a very broad question but here we go anyway, what works well with the 808 I am definately wanting to put in a good compitition engine, my track size is about 60x35 mtrs or 200 ftx 115ft, currently I run the picco evo2 P7 is it worth upgrading cheers

Check out the new Trinity Extech II's. Great mills with good runtime and smooth powerband. And enough top end to scare you!

Aussies your picco should work fine.I run one of those motors & several motors keep up with me but so far none are noticably faster but the picco is faster than a few of the motors I run against. For the price verse long life span its one of the best.My normal track is 160ft x 90ft if I remember right.Fuel milage is the only slight downfall to that motor. I strongly believe your ability to tune,& keep it perfect is alot more important than what motor you run now a days, they pretty much are all about the same speed once there on the straight & most motors out now will clear most short run up jumps. If you like that motor now the jammin is the same motor & can routinly be found for $200-230 U.S.
