epfalzer- for the ws7III the RB 2045 is highly suggested, but i have ran a 053 and it was very good as well.

If I get a S5 L2G and put my 9886 pipe/long header on it on a smaller track what do I do for a venturi/carb restrictor? Is the only or best choice an RB one and how small do I go? It does not come with any right?

no they come with no insert, get the innovative design insert. I would go with a 7mm insert. I have a s7 l2g. Love the engine, but I had to replace the front bearing at 2 gallons because it was leaking so bad. I put a new tko ceramic in it and it still leaks.

I run for RB USA and haven't heard about any changes but I haven't talked to Jamie in a while. I will try to give him a call tomorrow and see what I can find out.

i love my RB S7II, I have two of them and they run very strong, this last weekend it was running so well that people were asking what kind of motor are you running and who tuned it, i loved it. this mortor is very easy to tune and i run it with a JP-1 pipe.

I have the C6 BB. i just ran it for the first time this past weekend. It really helped my driving style. I picked up from a 5:18 to running around a 5:06 in my heats which is alot. I've been running OS Speed which I still like, but the RB just seemed to have the right power where and when I needed it. Times don't lie, so I'm sold on the RB.

Don't worry about the leak. Many Nova based motors don't even use a sealed bearing. It seals when running due to the tight clearances between the crank and crankcase but will leak when not running. The TKO's are great though.

i also love this thread, there was absolutly no info, so just keep posting with anything!!

That 086 will make more power but will be illegal for big sanctioned races. For local races that allow it I would stick with the 086.

Also, there is lots of info in the exclusive nitro engine zone in the nitro onroad forum. There is an RB engines thread in there.
