Default Fitting Lipos and gearing for 10.5t for the E4

Ok I have been considering a change of class, I currently Run 5 Cell Brushless Mod (3.5T).

I want to run 10.5T Lipo, so

I tried fitting a friends 3800 Orion lipo in my car today and immediately hit a few problems, it wouldnt go in, but i think raising the top deck will help with that, but im not sure I could still get the battery tray, Is their a modification or will it fit once I have raised the top deck?

More of a problem, either way I put the battery in one of the connections was under the top deck. How do you guys connect the lipo to the ESC?

Sorry for so many questions but the E4 just is run in the UK by many people so help is difficult to get.

I still have to make my car weigh 1500gramms wheres the best place to put the extra 200+ gramms I will need to bring my car upto weight?

One last question, I need to be able to gear the car around 4.8 to run 10.5T on the tracks I race. Whats the best combination of Spur/Pinnion to get this with the limited movement for the motor?

If anyone has close up pics of their E4 with a lipo fitted showing how they go in and are connected, I would love to see them.

Many Thanks for any help.

Anthony

Hi guys,

I would like to know any experience with the Team Magic E4JS
car, i used to race the nitro G4S car and now i want to race some electric touring, i have a TC4 im using for now (our class its 13,5 brushless and niMh batts, maybe 7.4v lipo allowed next year).

So, its the Team Magic E4JS good enough for racing 13,5 brushless ?, or do i have to buy the top of the line version to be competitive as a must ?

In other point of view, where do i get spares in USA ?, im from Southamerica (Chile) and we dont have a TM distributor which carries electric touring parts so far.

thanks in advance !!

The E4JS would be great for 13.5 brushless, and you can upgrade it if you need to. You can get anything that you need for all Team Magic products from www.wolfhobbies.com

Tabushi... I responded to your PM, but in short I think the E4JS is a great car for the money. I have only run it on asphalt so far and with a 17.5BL motor, but it has been great. It has a ton of steering, has been super reliable and I am totally pleased with it so far. In about another month I should be moving indoors for rubber tire on carpet, so I will let you know how things work out there.
