Looking for that new RB R3RC. Does anyone know where I can get one and what header/exhaust should go with it?

ToysRUsKid,
The R3RC was just released to the public and should be hitting shops soon. We mainly run the 2604 in-line set that comes with a short header.

Does the Alpha engine use a Sirio or NovaRossi glow plug?

I have a quick question for you tuner guys .............I am now really close to getting this C6 tuned in that I posted I was struggling with a while back.

If after a full throttle run down the straight away the idle "hangs"after the throttle is closed it is "what" on the low end ....rich or lean ? My settings are 3.5 on top and 5.5 on the LSN with the carb set at .8 mm throttle opening .Runs decent and doesn't stall but you can tell the tune is off .

I have leaned out the LSN before and then turned the idle down but then it stalls now and then . Simple right ? Just raise the idle ........well then the rpm "hangs" again ...................have I not gone lean enough yet ? I am running 20% sidewinder with a RB6 plug . Thanks for the help guys !

Sounds like you have to richen up the bottom end a bit more.
.8 for idle opening is only a general number, don't hold to this. You should adjust as needed.

I figure .8 was a good starting point at least ....................with tuning these motors generally have you mostly seen the Idle tuned up then ? once the bottom end is set right ?

I had it set at almost 6 turns out for the one qualifier I was in but the low end throttle response was terrible ................BUT IT DID NOT HANG THE IDLE ........only thing is I then had to lean the top out because the thing was a dog all the way around the track ...............I didn't leave it that way because I thought I was going backwards with the needles . I this right ? Thanks so much for your quick response .

If it is running really good except for the idle being high at the end of a straight then you a very close on the tune. Either richen up the bottom a bit or if it stays high for a while back off on the idle a touch. It may run a touch rich when cold like this but should lean out and be good after a few minutes of warm-up.
