Go-Tech Engines Thread
#3571
I am thinking about buying a new carb for my Go Tech engines. I am leaning towards getting an OS carb since everyone seems to be having great success with them. I would like to know what carb can I buy and still use the Go Tech Venturi Carb Restrictors? Thanks.

mind you it's a good way to get a new carb for your go even if it's the expensive wayif you don't like the go engines anymore then why do you keep checking this thread

Novarossi carbs are a direct fit and the Go ventures work with the rossi carb.

RIP! He has a .28 GO in a Hyper ST PRO with the Hyper PRO stock pipe and it runs awesome and idles awesome. He has the same motor in a Mugen MBX5T with a JP-2 I think but does not run as good. Not as much snap and does not idle as good.

Yeah you could get a V-spec and have it lose compression in the first gallon and be a nice heavy paperweight also just like 4 other locals had done to them here and many others I have read about. Might be a hit or miss thing with that OS problem but not a $300 chance I want to take.

lol i think its funny you all love theses engines so much that there are over 100 people with carb problems yet there the best thing since sliced bread. its a good thing racefactor gives engines to people who have faulty parts in them if they didnt this engine would be a flop. ive known numerouse people who have only gotten a gallon or 2 out of a 28 or there 5 ports dont blame it on tuning either its a carb issue.
now if they would fix there problem with the carbs they would have a decent engine and to me i would rather buy a novarossi and know it will last if i take care of it like any engine that doesnt have a carb problem hell for the price you could have bought a rb s5 oh wait you all will find a problem with that also because your engines are far superior

I am currently running a .21 3pr in my truggy conversion, i know that the first problem is that I am running a conversion. All joking aside I am considering going to a .25 6p oppossed to the .21 5p because my truggy is so damn heavy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I do not think any of us has said that the GO's are far superior to anything. We just like the motors and just like anything made, nothing is perfect. At least Racefactor is nice enough to take care of the problems unlike OS which told all 4 people by me to BUY a new piston and sleeve and it will solve the problem. Of course it will..... but why did it happen in the first place and now I have about 450.00 into a motor with less than a gallon. You like your motors and we like ours, there is nothing wrong about that. Also Picco's have carb issues, I guess there junk too right?

No-one said GO are the best...but
-will last long
-perform great as long as you get the right one for your application
-and they do try to fix there problems with the carbs
Others throw it at the tunner/driver if something goes wrong with there engine...see "high end engine" own forums!!
In off road a lot of things can go wrong...
-your air filter might go off
-a runaway
I don't even want to imagine this with a >$300 engine.
Do you want to discuss parts availability and cost...i don't think so.
RB/Novarossi rods are $50-$60
Picco-i saw somewhere they charged $78 for a rod.
