is it possible to kill the bottom end on a 7 port with out running 180 degrees? my local track is covered with dirt, or really slick in the same day. absolutely no traction. I switched from the dynamite bottom end pipe to an old Nova 9886 and that helped, mbut i still need more but im just dying to let it stretch its legs and run

soften up the clutch, and maybe try some carbons, softer springs, or harder shoe.

Up in clutch bell
softer clutch spring
thinner center diff oil

All of these should take away a little snap. What car are you running?

or try some better tires...
I don't see the 7 being that brutal.

But if it is, i would try the clutch bell first, then shoes, then springs.

But it could be something else like tires or Diff/Shock setup that is making your car loose.

i run a mbx 5 prospec. ive been running the same setup for a while now, and the track just got too bad. I tried like 3 or 4 sets of tires, didnt mess with the clutch because ive never ran anything but 13 or 14, 1.0 springs alum. shoes. the only thing that changed was from 7 to 6 in the center diff from the race a day before, and the engine and pipe. i raised the idle screw raised the bottom (rich) and top. running 180* and still spinning coming out of the corners. I was running a novarossi 3 port hot mod so i i could feel a top end difference but didt think it had crazy bottom until i got on the track.

Try 5-5-1 in the diffs, 14 tooth clutch bell and back the rear sway bar off a bit.
I found in my car 7 in the centre diff was way too much for the rear end and spun out alot, since i changed to 5k in the centre its alot better.

I run my 3 port race in practise yesterday.

It only has 14tanks through it and was running rich(tooooo rich).
It has great bottom end power and couldn't judge the top since i didn't want to push it too hard but it was looking good in the mid rpm, pulling hard!!
I was running an OS P6 plug with the GO pipe at around 200F.
