Will do. It might be a little while though seeing as how the current cost of a P/S/R/H is up there. around 360 USD.

Hi Captain,

I also have a Max Power XRS-21.

If I'm understanding you correctly, the stock P/S/R/H for the 35 Plus 21 will fit in my XRS-21 case.

The Novarossi part # I found for the 35 Plus 21 P/S/R/H set is # 08551.

Is this what you are using in your Max XRS case? If so I will get one as soon as possible for a rebuild.

thanks

i've recently purchased some max and novarossi parts for my MAX. althought they are the same engine, and the same part numbers the max parts are infact sometimes different. ie the conrod for the .12 max is different to the conrod for the .12 nova, also the nova c clips packet (i believe from memory) comes with more clips (4 in total) than the max which comes with only two per pack. again part numbers are the same as nova, but different. weird.

i recently started breaking in my max LS2 MF today with runnertime 16% i found this strange light brown splatter ont he top of the piston, and on the exit of the exhaust port, any one else found this? performance is fine, and most of it wiped of but it seems like it got baked on.

is it possible that the machining oil from factory did this?

Like this ?

That is normal, it shows a good combustion and most of the time the brown layer is caused by castor oil.

no nothing like that, it looked alot like a splatter effect.

it looked like rust particles on the top of the piston but it wasn't rust. it's hard to explain, and i cleaned most of it of, but it seems like an oil that burnt on the top of the piston, or some sort of gluey substance. it is still on the inside of the outlet of the exhaust port on the walls.

it is a medium brown colour so it isn't burnt on, and seems to have dried on at a low temp.

i've never seen it before. i'm putting it down to oil residue left during the construction that might have been in the bearings possibly. i'll see if i can get a pic of the remaining bits of the "stains"

Tom

I found that when I was using runnertime it would leave a lot more stains like that and even gunk in the bearings when left unsed for a few weeks.
Ruunertime has a lot of caster oil in it.

hmm possibly it's never happened to me before. i wiped as much of as i could and it seems to have come of the top of the piston now that i have run it at close to race temp.

The new Max manifold end is bigger, you will have to buy the new manifold inorder to use the new 2602 pipe.
