Vigilante sounds like the perfect combo for that track. The x-ray clutch is also very good, I reccomend the 1.71 shoes with 1.0 springs, and if the bottom is too strong try the .9 springs.

Nitrojunkie, the 5port piston and sleeve will work fine in the 7port crankcase.
yipee, just found a shop selling an o.s. #8 plug. tnx for the info,

Jason the engines are identical as far as porting and timing the only diffence is displacement, so the difference is minor.

od97t plug.. tried it today no good imo put the P3 plug in and it was great and easier to tune with and better run time so i seen. i got 7.5 mins with p3 plug and a jp3 pipe i think if i get a better pipe i might get more run time.. plus this is all with just .5 gallon on the motor...

I have the 7 port turbo, it is cutting out on top end, does that mean it is lean. I richend it 1hr or so and it hasn't done it since. it was only running about 180f.

i may be wrong but what i would do is lean bottom 1 hr and richin top maybe .5 to 1h more then u did.. that should do good for you.. if u go out and the motor still runs good and u temp it at 180 to 200 id lean .5 to 1hr more then it should be set... might get someone else to chim in to on it...

If you guys have access to LRP plugs, i would be using them IMO. I have tried most other plugs and find myself back on the LRP plugs every time! I have three Go 5P one with a Massive Mods Stage 5, one stock and one with a Turbo head, I run #6 plugs in the non turbo and 6T and 7T LRP plugs in the turbos.

I also am just about to run in a GO 28 6+2 pro motor and 28 pullstart motor for my savage. If they go anything like the the 21 5P they should be a very powerful mill!!!

ollie I would do as ultraspeed suggested, Try and make sure the engine runs over 200f under 200f can put extra stress on the rod and assembly.

I finally got my RC8 and Go Tech 3 port up and running. I have to tell you that for $100, the 3 port rips! I'm thoroughly impressed by the motor and feel it's money well spent!

Question... the throttle ball cup that comes with the rc8 slides right over the ball on the carb. I had to put a little rubber band to hold it on. What ball cup should I get that will be the right fit? Thanks!

I know the X-ray, jammin/ofna ball cups should work fine, I think the TTR one is slightly larger.

ran the RC8 today, and yes... the stock ball cup is to large for the GO carb.
A xray one works great.

Took the win today as well thanks to my STUPID fast GO 7 Port. Very consistant power throughout the day and the motor felt exactly the same for the whole main.

I tried the 053 pipe and it seemed to tame the motor down just a little over the 086 i usually run. I really liked it so i plan to run it for a while to get a better feel of which i truely like better.
