Zoom Zoom!!!!! i really like my Go's and i have guys coming to me each and every race asking about my motor. i say it is a Go. there like ,What? what i dont get is it is the same guys every week asking me. they asked what have you done to it, response nothing at all. it is stock with a ceramic rear bearing. what pipe they always ask. a JP-2 its is all i got, so it has to work. i have been very impressed every since i got this motor, and then after talking with Rocket42 more and learning that it tunes just a bit different then everything else it has all been good. i love the power curve of thiese motors, they start from the bottom and just keep on going to the moon. there are no flats spots in the power curve. im not really sure why my motor seems to impress everyone but thats kool with me. if you every get a chance to run one of these I Say do it. it will save you money and probably will be faster then what you are running right now. i have only been pulled by one of the OS black motors that Maifield runs. that thing is scary fast. i have run this motor in different brands of car and it has always been one of the fastest and most reliable motor of all the guys i have raced against.

Hey Go Tech guys. I'm thinking of trying one or both of these engines.

But before I switch from Novas, got a few questions.

I like the 421b type power, though I have a couple of P5s I run as well. What kind of pipe do you recommend for the 7 port?

Are those of you running noticing a major difference between the turbo version and standard? What kind of plug is good for standard and turbo?

And last, is the Go Tech head bolt pattern the same as any other mills so a guy could use an aftermarket head on it?

Thanks in advance guys...

Hey Cwalters the engines are definately wortha try.

I am not familiar with the 421b but I did run a P5X before the Go's and if you like that kind of power I would say try the Go Tech 5port Race engine Trubo. It was very similar power compared to the p5x but with more linear powerband and more on top.

The Turbo plug does have a major boost in performance, mileage and power is increased and turbo plugs last longer. For standard I would reccomend Go #5 or O.S. #8, for Turbo I would say O.S. p3 and if your on a budget O'donnel 77T or 97T

The Go tech uses a 4bolt head pattern and is compatible with any Novarossi 4bolt head.

Go Tech guys, I have a question. A buddy of mine just purchased a brand new 7 port Go Tech and the serial # has been ground off.....will this nullify his warranty? By the way, he purchased it off of ebay from a seller going by gas19168. Thanks for any info you guys might have.

These motors come shimmed and ready for 30% or do I need some extra shims.

Also, not a lot said about restricters. Stock restriction fine?

I'm thinking of a 5 port and a 7 port both, what pipes?

THanks, Chad

Motors come shipped for %30. Pipes: 9886 for the 5 port and 053 for the 7 port. I've also had great success with the Sportwerks HT pipe on the 5 port.

I'll be trying a 7mm restrictor this weekend on the 5 port.

i run a jp-2 on my 7 port. and it is the best so far. the 053 is said to be very good for both motors also. i also just got a 5 port and will trying a 086 pipe, and i was told that the 053 would also work with both motors but better for the 7. however this means to me that the jp-2 may also work, i will see how it goes this saturday. you need to run the restrictor for sure.
