The OS plugs work fine.

I have some problem with it. I have an MR12 set w/pipe. After I braking in the engine and did some easy run (Rich) I found out that my idle screw was brocken!?!? after 12 tank of braking in.

I call Mugen today and explain to them that I was factory defect. Some how Mugen USA will not do any thing for me. All I get was bad customer service.

After I decided to take out the idle needle out from my novarossi carb and it works ok.

The question is.... did any one have any problem with this engine?? For the price I do like the engine alot. But, after get this kind of customer service form the distributor it self. I'm very disappointed!!

Also I have been told that this engine can only be use with Ninja Glow Plug? Is this true? Is there any other glow plug that will work with it?

Also, I did get to run the engine after 16 tanks. It seem to run hot!! Is this normal? because when I try to get it to run at 260-280 it seem to be slow. But once I get it up pass 300 -340 it run like hell! is this engine like high temp?? even when I run up to 340 I still see lots of smoke come out.

I decided to put 2 .1 head shim in it. But haven't have a change to run it yet. I'll find out soon.

i had the something happen on a os and a novarossi and nobody would help.

my ninja likes to run at about 280-300 too and mike has said that these motors like it that way why idono.
and ya (they) say only ninja plugs but iv found that sirio plugs work ok,os work too but the motor for some reason runs slower with these,again i dono why.
the only motor company that would ever help me out was kyosho giving me a new motor (sirio) when i broke the crank on the 2nd day of running.

i run 20% and run the stock shim .10

all and all i like this motor alot.

i've used an o.s plug before, it works fine.
and mine always seems to running real cool.
i love the motor, the sound it makes is sexy.

So...why is it that this engine can not use other glow plug? I haven't try it yet. I have mostly Novarossi plug and OS plug.

Also, how hight of the temp you guys running this engine?? like I said...my run good from 310 - 340. So far I run about 20 tank into it. I run 30% O'Donnell Fuel with .1 shim in the head. I like to get more performance out of it in the low end. It seem like this engine don't have much low end compare ot my RB V12 RodyMod.

I'm thinking about getting a Sirio EVO III Murnan Mod and use this ninja for back up. Any one have any experience with this two engine?

A novarossi plug is different from the Ninja plug at the bevel of the plug. For some reason the nova plug doesn't sit well enough to seal the button. So you get a leak. I've tried nova plugs on Ninja onroad 21 engines, and they leaked.

I've heard OS plugs work, I'm going to see if I can get my hands on some sirio plugs too.

its not just mugen its alot of company's in this hobby.
i had a novarossi break on the 2nd tank a long time ago did any help no.
i mailed it and never heard anything again.

OR if not sell then...I might just keep it for back up. But...I rather sell it since I have RB Rody Mod ..lol..
