Kimbalion,

Thank you, thank you. For providing the technical backup to what us matchers see on a day to day basis.

Maybe Charles will finally understand that what we have been saying is correct. I know he acknowledges the IB4200 are better performers but his reliability idea is blown away by your information.

It wouldnt surprise me if it was expensive. It was bought from the Shop at the Indoor track I ran it on.

As for it being an express. That doesnt ring any bells. I just tried to search the Net and I canot find any links about an Express manufactured RC car. Their is a company called Apus Auction express but that has nothing to do with this chasis.

Do you have any links to the Manufactures web site ?

As for your comment about the bells and whistles, What exactly do you mean ?. I cant see anything that this car doesnt already have that could be added. Can you give me some examples ?

It already has

2mm Carbon Fibre Upper Deck
2.5 mm Carbon Fibre Lower Deck
Alloy Hubs Front and Rear
Alloy Motor Mount
Alloy Front and Rear Diff and drive shaft mounts
Alloy Shocks with tension adjument ring
Adjustable Metal Camber Turnbuckes on Front and Rear Hubs
Adjustable Metal Front Caster Turnbuckles
Front and Rear Metal Stabaliser bars
Front and Rear ride height adjustment
One way clucth for Front wheel drive
Fully Ball Bearined runnung gear

Why have you even bothered to reply when you have obviously not listened to what I have said.

I have said dozens of times over and over again that I agree the IB4200 is by far the best performing cell on the track. I have also said many times that I would run IB cells.

So please stop telling me what I am saying.

Just as I am sure Greg is devastated to find he has lost any chance of a sale for Harris RC.

To all readers of this mindless thread:
This guy has a totally closed mind and has shown contempt and total disrepect for assistance and advice from just about everybody including the three guys who are arguably the most knowlegable in RC battery matching in Australia at the moment. Why on earth does anybody actually try to be helpful? At least I wanted, earned, deserved and have thoroughly enjoyed his contempt and disrespect.

And if that is not a personal attack on Matchers, let me just say this:

I have read some information on the Net about how Mosc_007 is a know nothing idiot. I am not accusing him of this. Just stating I have read that he is.

Actualy if Greg is from Harris RC then he is the one one I will be buying from. It's hard to know who is who when they use Nicks. I only know them by their nicks.

And I will say it again. It's starting to sound like a broken record but no-one wants to admit what I am saying.

I agree %100 that the IB4200's are by far the most competative cell on the track. I have also said I would be running IB cells.

How can I make this any clearer ?

It was not an attack directed at any specific Matchers EG, Feral batteries or Harrs R-C. Unlike your attack which was direct at me personaly. The differance is you used my name. I used no-ones name.

I truely thought it was obvious who owns what But it just proves the ignorance of some

WEB SEARCH :

Harris Rc = Tony
Ferall Rc = Greg

end of posts
Thankyou.

And, No it was not obvious to me who owns what. People are using Nicks in here and I dont see their First names posted very often. I have only seen people refer to others by First name. But not the Poster themselves. It is obvious by the Nicks who owns what. But their Nicks doesnt reveal anything about their first names.

I did check both Feral and Harrc R-C web pages and I was not able to find any names on their. Even both their contact details are simply sales@....., I couldnt see any mention of names. Maybe I just didnt look hard enough.

1. Charging at 10c

3. Exposing the cells to extremes of heat tempreture

I can now say that the Sanyo and the IB with confidence "vent/expolde Voilently" when exposed to these enviroments.
Ok. I fully accept your test results.

But as has been said before Any cell will explode/vent violently if given the right conditions. But charging at 10C and discharging at 50-100 amps is taking things a bit far isnt it ?. Or is this what you had to do to get the RC3600's to Vent/Explode Violently ?

Those are certainly not normal RC use conditions.

The IB's are exploding at normal race meetings. Which is not comparable to the way you got them to Vent/Explode violently.

Also, Their is quite a differance between a Violent venting and a Violent explosion. I noticed you grouped them together.

Sure it looks the goods but doesn't translate that way on the track. probably a perfect match for your Sanyo cells - about the same level of competitiveness.

My mistake - probably caused by excessive laughter at the time - it's Xpress not Express - web site is http://www.rc-xpress.com/html/all.html

Run your Sanyo's in it and enjoy - not everyone needs the latesty gear to have fun.

cheers

Ahhh Charles, i got the sanyos to explode at 46.56amp discharge after charging at 6 amps to a cut of temp of 48c let rest for 30 mins then did a controlled discharge starting from 10 amp increasing at a rate of 1 amp per second. Only one cell exploded at such a low current draw. All other cells exploded or vented above 50 amp draw. I did various charge and discharge rates to see what happens with the cells. So i didnt include that cell in my results as i thought it must have been faulty so used another to replace it in the results. Yes we brought in 100 of the Sanyos to do this test, but have about 3000 IB cells left for testing.

All cells exploded at 3c and 20c discharge continuous rates. Just to note the IB did vent not explode at the same control test IE: 6 amp charge 10 amp start, but noted that the IB didnt vent as early as the Sanyos. They vent more towards 60-65amp draw where as the Sanyo vented around the 55-60amp draw. This indicates that the cell manafacture is a stronger case and the vent system is set slightly higher in temp.

This is within design specs for the said cell.

Simon

PS. Now dont take this the wrony way, but Charles if you went to HarrisR/C website on the home page Tony introduces himself. So yer you werent looking hard enough, possibly not at all?? It sticks out like a bloody sore thumb ..... Perhaps you should re read all the websites that you have been looking at to see if you havent made any more errors??? This misinformation may have been posted in this thread?

Charles,

Feral Batteries - owned by Greg (cannon) - thankfully not buying from me aparently

Harris R/C - owned by Tony (addicted)

You must not be able to read. As Kimbalion has stated, Harris has Tony's name and mobile phone number on the front page. Not exactly hard to find.

As for my website, I have not put my name on it but the contact us page has both email address and mobile phone number. Once again your credibility on research goes out the window.

Logical deduction would have meant that you could have determined who is who from the information on the websites and this thread.

And as for the Xpress car, believe what people tell you. The car has all the "bits" but is uncompetitive in todays racing.
