As far as the front bearing goes, at Acer, they have a 7x17x5 ceramic for 7.99. Are there special bearing for the engine? Or will any rubber sealed bearing work as long as I take the rear seal off? I would like to stay away from the stock bearing since I have been through 2 of them in 1 gallon of fuel. Anyone find a good substitute for it? I would like to go ceramic, since the rear bearing is ceramic.

Thanks

Looks pretty nice, how bloody fast would this one be?. Engine performance is going crazy this year. At our track(mach) 1/10 cars are getting speeds of 108 Km/h

I've had this problem and after I stopped putting the shim the bearing seal lasts "forever"......

I have never put anything. I put the cone up against the race of the bearing. No shims. I blew a seal with about 1/2 gallon, replaced the bearing, now with about a gallon through the engine, it blew another seal out. I don't really want to keep putting a new bearing in every half gallon. Especcially at $35 a bearing. I would also like to put a ceramic in this time.

Ralph,
Sorry for the late reply. I just rebuilt my R-03 with a p/s from the novarossi based 321 motor. The 421 is different and will not work. I will try to remember to post a reply about performance. Still breaking in p/s. So far its looks like it can be a very powerful backup motor in this configuration.
