are these the only basic required hop ups for the mini?:

-tamiya shocks
-ball bearing set

what are the other required options? i heard you can get 2 degree rear hubs or soemthing? and also alloy steering knuckles. if i plan on getting one i won't bother with making it tcs legal, i just want a few bits a peices on it so it is stronger and more precise.

Tom, If you are getting a M03, M03-M or M03-L, look up the following website and it shows you most of the Tamiya Hop-ups.

Also have a look on RCmart and they have heaps of TCS legal and illegal hops ups.

Tomb a high torque servo saver is handy if you want the handling to be more precise. The standard one can move around a bit after a big crash and not centre properly.

TomB... basic items for good racing if you buy the M03M are universals, Ball bearings for gearbox (wheel bearings are incl) and decent shocks. The M03M has the 2 degree rear hubs included as well. Also has a cheap ESC.
I race my M03M with just these items and it is fine. As far as the servo saver, yes the standard one is rubbish but not if you glue it shut

I think a ball diff is required as well. Either Manta Ray of TA03 will do. Also need different out drives for the ball diff.

Cannon, are they the same bumpers as before, or are you displaying a selection?

Ball diff is a matter of personal choice. If you put a lot of grease in the geared diff, it works very well.

Mackem .... all three bumper sets are from the one source. Are you going to steal them again

TomB, you should buy M03-M and Parts No:50730 alfa spare body. You can run club race with alfa body and Suzuki body for big meeting. They are both 225mm wheel base.

i was mainly asking because i wanted to get the M-04-M because it has the alfa bod, but it would be a smart thing to just go with the legal chassis anyway.

Hiroshi, or any other mini drivers, do you know if the L chassis mini fits the gulieta sprint alfa bod?

if the alfa fits the 225mm m chassis then the l chassis is too loooong for the aaalfa

I know alfa body fits M04-M which has 225mm, unless they have different body post it should fit M03-M. Like itchy b said it's not gonna fit M03-L.
Why do you want L any way, most top mini driver got M. I think I'll get M soon to join them

i just though the longer wheel base would be a little more stable. i drove johns mini (l type) at sma and it was gold. never driven a m though the original short base felt twitchy and unsettled around corners
