yea it takes at least 2 days to get a huge order of kits ready to ship. It was about that long with the 05 car if I remember correctly.

I know for a fact that as of last Thursday the shipment of kits was NOT in transit to RCAmerica yet, so you can rest assured getting them to the hobby shops by Christmas will be tight.

Default Gear Ratio

BTW guys i'm still running a FK04 and was wondering how u guys running the FK05 going to get the gear ratio to about 9.5, cause the internal ratio is 1.7 so the lowest i could go was about 8.925 on a 84 spur and 16 before the screw holding the motor reach the end of the bulkhead, cause planning to get the T2 and now sure how to get this ratio when i got it.

Thanks in advance and sorry about my bad english

if you use 64 pitch you can go down to 19.5mm rollout with a 20 tooth pinion and upto 37.5 with a 38 pinion using a 116 spur 1mm changes between pinions

Don't quote me on this, but judging from the pictures, the T2's motor mount slots look like they have a few more mm of range. I'm not sure if this apply's to taller or lower (or both) gearing though.

.

eh rubbish, why do you need to go so low on the ratio? using 64dp 116t spur with 21t pinion, the ratio's at 9.39 which is more than enough for 7t motors at our track. so what makes you want to go to 9.5?? running 5t motors??

At the IIC the Rubber Mod guys were running 10:1. This is also pretty common at the Big Euro indoor races.

Default Anyone know if the US spec will have a...

3mm chassis plate and upper deck? Will it come with carbide diff/trust balls? According to Xray website it says it will, but it also says it's subject to change. That will be nice if it does come with both.

If the car comes out of the box ready to run on carpet, I think Xray will hit a grand slam with this car. The one thing that has held Xray back in the past is the need to purchase additional (expensive) options for an already expensive car.

shock towers, I'm down with it. Yea...Xray would be a hit with a 3mm US carpet spec. I know many bach on Xray for being too expensive to make it carpet ready. Corrally knew what they were doing by give customers a choice. Looking at the specs, Xray fixed alot of issues and added some value to the kit. I think I'm going to get one if it's under $400.

I can deal with it for under $400 if it has everythings in the box. Now all they have to do is make a better shock, one like the JRX-S in design, but with the clickers. Oh...that would be nice. I think Xray hit it on the head with this car. Now only if it handles as good as it looks.

Default agreed....

that was one detail I liked about the Xray was those wheel hubs. Now they have those darn wheel nuts that can catch the boards. Can anyone say for sure if you can use the old wheel hubs bearings/knuckles? I thought I read somewhere you could, but I can't find it.
