Don’t expect anything you won’t be able to buy and add on to an LD3. If history holds it won’t be out until LATE in the year.

Only thing I expect at this point is the new bottom plate with an updated steering rack and servo mount, new C and D blocks that have the pill system like the PB, the 5 gear trans maybe in plastic, and maybe the PB slim hubs but that’s a wild card honestly. Every single one of these seems to be mismatched to a specific type of car only using them as well (dirt vs carpet).

I am also wondering if they are moving away from the shorter dog bone setup as I don’t even see them having the listing for the shorter version of the UJ anymore.

That was my thinking as well, although we haven't seen the team drivers using the flat servo plate on carpet or astro in the UK that I am aware of. I have invested in the pb hubs and UJ's as it makes it so much easier to adjust the hub height.

PB hubs and UJs should be used as a tuning option. The length of the dog bone makes a difference in handling. It stabilizes the rear more than a shorter length dog bone.

Yes, I was already running the longer CVD driveshaft as I had the Dirt hub inserts and wanted to try the UJ's as running medium/high grip astro. So just switched to the PB hubs and UJ's with a 2mm wider hex - was on 4mm and went to 6mm.

Default 5 Gear Gearbox

Chatting to one of the UK team drivers it looks like the 5 gear gearboxes will be staying in the cars for the outdoor astro season. They are getting better rotation which is enabling them to dial in more rear forward traction.

Currently out of stock in the UK but have one on order to try out.

New bits look good:

U9451 - Worlds Flat Servo Conversion - LD2,LD3,ST2 - £69.99
http://www.racing-cars.com/U9451

U9455 - Worlds Rear Suspension Strap Conv. - LD2,LD3,ST2 - £39.99
http://www.racing-cars.com/U9455

Would be nice to see a new LD3 kit released with these bits and the 5 gear included and maybe some of the PB parts as well (rear hubs)

It does look like all the bits that would go into an LD4 are now available off the shelf.

I'm jumping back into 1/10 buggy after a number of years off and will likely go 17.5 initially. We travel fulltime in our RV so I'll end up racing all over the place but I'm just wondering if the S chassis really is the way to go or should I just go with the M?

In the UK (where Schumacher are based) the rear hangers and servo mount are available. I am waiting two weeks for the 5 gear gearbox to be available.

Any ideas what alloy servo horns work with the new front end? All I have are too long and hit the top plate and I’m not sure about using the plastic one from the kit.
