Well, the word literally stamped above the TLA is "inclined"... not the first time an Asian company has lost something in translation.

“Inclined KPA” = “Inclined King Pin Angle”

Seems everyone got this one right.

I mean there is an angle but it is called king pin inclination because it is a slope relative to the steering axis. I know it’s Greek…

Also, maybe this is a bad example, but in RC car stuff, they have to worry about copyrights for the names of things all the time. Hobby companies are small.

Default Tires

As an MTC3 owner, I’m starting my racing soon in the outdoor, asphalt season, and I need to get tires.
Most people at my club are racing D36 Sweep tires, but as we don’t have a spec tire per se, I’m curious what asphalt tires you are using for TC stock?
I’ll be getting a few sets of sweep, but curious what else I should consider?

thanks

Sweep D spec tires are currently the best we have in the United States in my opinion. In Seattle we run 32s with the thin soft insert. The thick soft insert has good balance and tire wear but lacks a couple of tenths compared to the thin soft insert.

You need to try the Team Muso tires. They have a lot of grip, wear better than anything I've tried on asphalt and the confidence they provide is outstanding.

This is what I’ve been recommended to get for racing in Vancouver.
I was advised to go for the D36 ones which I think are the following -

D36 D-SPEC Asphalt TC tire 4pc set Pre-glued.

Can you confirm these would be the ones?

Seems like they only come with the thick soft inserts, so I guess that’s what I’m going with.

Also, how many races/race days are they lasting you?

thanks

That is the one! You can probably get 2 race days out of a set but I run a new set every race day as the pace falls off a few tenths after the first 3-4 runs or so.
